Pretty good camera and I had it for 4 years without problems. The settings can be confusing and taking pics at low light is bad but for a standard point and shoot, it hasn't let me down Problems: Movie mode - can't do adjustments such as the type of focus and also there's no manual focus

A good point and shoot camera. Easy to use. Takes very good pictures. Small enough to put it in your pocket.

I bought this for my daughter. I have had a few Canon cameras and got sick of the lenses going out of track or E18 errors. Happened to every Canon in my family. Especially the A-70 and A-75's. I still Have an S2IS but it is big and bulky. Canon takes great pics when working. The video mode on my old Canon A-70 was great even though they were short and would not exposure and focus while in REC mode. They convert well to DVD from 15 FPS to 30 FPS if you use Nero Vision and set the settings to ...

This camera handles easily, is inutitive, and has a beautiful screen. It turns on quickly, and has several useful features. BUT.... Problems: I have lost hundreds of photos while trying to down load them into the computer. This is SO frustrating, as it wipes the memory card clean. Even software that I purchased to "recover" the pics, have failed. ALSO, the proprietary nature of Sony's memory cards and attachments makes this THE LAST Sony I will every purchase.

Got this camera last week for the wife. 189.99 at Best Buy. Camera takes sharp pictures. I use "P" mode when shooting because I have it set to sharp and vivid. Pictures are great but still does not compare to my 8 year old Canon G-3. Kudos to Sony for the huge LCD. Problems: None so far :-)

The W50 is an good and fast camera, with an good Image qality. Baterie live is verry good. Verry good LCD in bright sun, also tune up when it is dark. Printed pictures are verry nice indeed. Iso noise is verry good untill Iso 400 To muts noise at Iso 800,and defently not Usable at Iso 1000 Exept for verry small prints. At Iso 800 the noise reduction destroy the qalitie of the picture, make it look like an painting from noise reduction. Focus Is verry fast, also at the end of the zoom. verry small ...

The picture quality is good but tends to be a bit on the lighter side of real when used in sunny environments and is prone to blurring in rooms lit with incandescent lighting at night. Adjusting the camera to avoid these issues can be somewhat complicated, the menus aren't exactly intuitive, having said that - you can take better pictures if you're willing to spend some time with this camera. The viewfinder displays an image that is smaller than the actual picture, not sure why. It does ...
