Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120

I bought this for my wife who never liked the bulky old Sony DSC-V1 that I bought years ago. I wanted the quality and control afforded by the V1 but my wife just found it confusing. I found the image to be very sharp. Color is good both indoor and outdoor, even indoor with flash off. Problems: The image stabilizer is just so so. sometimes the outdoor is a bit too blue.

Poor Night portrait and night shots. Poor Flash. The images are noisy when shot taken in low light. Macro mode is not so strong. Good battery life. Easy for operations and menu selection. Smile shutter is a feature which is of no use, practically. Poor Image stabilization.

I have had several film rangefinders, SLR-s, digital compacts, a super-zoom and two DSLR-s. Currently I own a Sony DSLR A-700 with few expensive lenses but I have decided that I need also something cheap and slim to carry in my pocket for everyday use, night clubs, etc and also for shooting short clips.
