hi everyone I am looking for a 'normal prime' for my SLT and was wondering if anyone has done a bit more research in the mid-low cost range. I bought a 35mm sony (SAL35F18.AE) and I'm not very happy with what it does. I was wondering if the 30mm sigma 1.4 was any better or anything else out there is good. thanks for your views
Hi everybody, I got a second hand Sigma 30mm f1.4 which is in good shape except one minor problem: it squeaks like a seal when focusing and hunts quite a bit because the friction of the focussing mechanism causes stick-slip effects. I decided to test my new lens on my Rebel t4i and I’m a...

I'll try to keep this one brief and to the point.I bought a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens a couple weeks ago, and after taking some basic test shots of my kids and dogs around the house at f/1.4 - 2.0, I'm not getting the same razor sharp results that I saw on a lot of the sample pictures people posted using their Sigma 30mm. I understand it won't be super sharp all the way across when it's wide open, but mine...
