From my blog http://nxexperience.blogspot.co.uk/ I am not going into a lot of technical detail here, but detailing my experience with the camera after a months fairly heavy usage including a two week trip in Costa Rica. I feel the need to state here, I love the NX1000. Sure, it may not be the fastest beast out there with the best low-light performance, etc, etc, but for the price I got it, it's one awesome little camera! Why do I mention the NX1000 in an NX300 review? Well, I only like the ...

I am using the Canon 5D Mark II for 3 years and carrying a bag with lenses through my trips around the world for a top quality photos. A week ago I bought the Samsung NX300 slim and light camera to carry anywhere for street photography with the flipped LCD and was amazed by the quality of the photos with the standard 18-55mm lens - a total cost of $700. I decided to compare the photos quality with the 5D Mark II in various conditions ISO from 100 to 6400 and put it for survey with my ...

The good: - responsive touch screen - makes it really easy to set focus (and snap the photo if set so) in the point you want. It was easy for me, it was easy for my parents and even my small kid. ANd the screen is big an clear - menu system - good and intuitive layout. Summary screen activated with FN button makes it very easy to adjust settings using touchscreen. - minimum shutter speed option - VERY, VERY useful. I set 1/125s and then work in aperture mode. Camera will adjust ISO to match ...

Samsung needs to introduce a model with more control dials. (see Fujifilm X-S1 which even at a few years old, has one of the best implementations of controls ever - if Samsung had so many controls, plus their amazing Fn-menu, they would have an unbeatable user interface both for simplified use and advanced users alike). The new tilt screen is very nice: it's nice that you don't have to swing it out and flip it over as on the nx20 - although not everyone will prefer this, it will definitely ...

For me this camera is almost perfect, but could be still improved, especially via fw. Its biggest flaw, even compared to older nx models, is that it can just keep 5 raw shots during continuous shooting, making this mode almost unuseful. You must use jpg only to get a usable 14 shots, before the buffer is filled. I hope samsung can improve this via fw upgrade, at least equalling the older models that could keep 8 raw files in a row. The af is now faster than before, being hybrid cdaf+pdaf. The ...

I've been using the NX300 for the last ten days and it took me by surprise in a pleasent manner. I'm coming after using Canon XXDs and the only drawback was the lack of the viewfinder but I got used with the tilting display and I found it very handy when framing or taking low/high angle shots and the best of all when using the Manual Focus assistance. I will be wrinting a review shortly but on my Facebook page you can already see some samples taken wit the NX300 (http://www.facebook.com/atentie)
