So my cousin's wedding is in two weeks and I thought it's a good oportunity to buy my first lens, and I was thinking in a portraiture lens for nice bokeh, and I'm pending to 45mm, although the smaller 30mm looks good too. What do you guys think? I should say that I'm a total newbie in this, the NX300 is my first camera after lots of P&S, and I want to push all of it's potential. Should I stick with my 20-55mm kit lens until I learn more about photography? P.S.: this is my first thread in the...

Hello guys, I have a nx300 camera (which I love) and I am considering to buy an old nikkor ai-s lens, maybe 85 or 105mm. Apart from the need of mount adapter, what problems may I have to deal with? I am concerned about camera shake... There would be no image stabilisation on this set (since nx300 OIS seems to be in the lens rather than in the body) and with these focal lenghts, camera shake should become a problem. Is is possible to shoot handheld using these lenses on the nx300? Although I...

I am looking into buying a compact system camera for my SE Asia trip. I am by no means an expert photographer but I would love to learn more and upgrade to a better option than my point and shoot. What do I want from my compact system? Stunning images, great travel photos and crystal video. I have looked in DSLRs but unfortunately they are just too big and I will be doing a lot of trekking. My problem now is quality vs price. I really enjoyed the Sony A6000 after playing around with it a bit...

Hi Guys, New to the forums. I am planning to buy a samsung NX300. While most of the times, this would be used for taking pictures, I would also like to be able to record our office presentations using this. It seems that Mirrorless cameras seem to have major restrictions on the "Max. Video Size". I have been told this camera can only support a max 4GB Video file which is about 18mins in HD and 30 mins in normal quality. I wonder if there is any way around this as it seems even normal digital...

Hey guys, Got my new NX 300 two days ago and I've been testing things out. Not sure if other Samsung NX cameras have this feature but it would be awesome if they did, and if any of you could help me double check this. One of the things that I haven't been able to fully test was the feature of being able to link the camera and my phone (iPhone), and sending the picture from the camera -> phone album. Would anyone know if this sends the fully sized 20MP photo or a smaller compressed version? I...

I'm very soon going to buy my first NX camera and was wondering if it's worth investing on the NX30 rather than buying the NX300. I don't really mind that the NX300 is lacking a more articulating display or that it is lacking an EVF. I'm more interested if there is any sheer difference in the image quaility that is worth the extra money. In Sweden the NX30 is 2500 SEK more expensive than the NX300 which is the equivalent of 380 dollars, 180 quid and 220 euro (2014-05-10)Thanks!

Hello there, I'm new here and also new to the Samsung line of cameras. And already I have a question :) (And beforehand: please excuse my English, it's not my native language) My girlfriend bought the NX300 a few days ago, and we have started to make some test photos and videos with it. Everything seems fine with the photos, but as we were reviewing the videos on a computer, we found that there is some sort of "flicker" in all the recordings. I'm not so very experienced in digital filmmaking,...

Does the NX2000 (and the NX300) offer you the option to adjust shutter speed, aperture and ISO while shooting video? I'm pretty sure you can adjust it beforehand but I have found no mention in the reviews about my question. Thanks in advance.
