I'm using the NX1000 with the 50-200mm lens, I notice that even in bright light I can't use high shutter speeds(1/1000sec). Settings used are aperture priority mode ISO 400, f/5.6 with the shutter speed ranging from 1/200sec - 1/800sec. Obviously I could change to shutter priority mode or manual to force the shutter speed to go faster but then risk having a under exposed photos. Now if I'm using my dslr (canon 600D with 100-400mm lens) with the same settings I get shutter speeds up 1/2000 or...

I purchased a refurbished NX1000 with the 20-50mm kit lens, it has the latest firmware update,  so far I'm extremely impressed with the IQ, however, the camera behaves erratically when I first turn it on. The PSAM dial will be selected to A or S but the screen menu will rotate between P, S A and M. I have to manually rotate the PSAM mode dial   back and forth and set it back to A and then screen will finally settle back to A (or whichever mode I selected on the dial). Anyone else encountered...

Hello! I chose my camera based on reviews here, so I figured this should be the place to ask. Recently I tried to import photos from my nx1000 to lightroom and I noticed that some images are not displayed, instead there's this icon with "image not supported" text at the bottom. Have any of you encountered this problem? If you did, how did you resolve it? Thanks!

Hello! My budget and research caused me to choose the Samsung nx1000 as my first dslr. I received it recently and cannot return it because I bought it used. I realized when I got it that Samsung doesn't carry a 300mm (or higher) lens for my model. I mainly love to photograph nature and animals that are often far in the distance behind fences. I had a 30x optical zoom on my previous point and shoot camera and I LOVED the zoom. Now that I have a dslr, is there ANY lens made by ANYONE that is...

Is the NX30's electronic shutter silent? I've got to really like the silent electronic shutter on the V1. It's not a deal breaker if it hasn't, just keen to know....   As an aside; does the NX1000 have a silent shutter option?  Thanks!   :-)

I have Just bought the Samsung NX1000 and it comes with the standard 20-50mm lens. This is my 1st camera with adaptable lenses and is very keen to learn the skills of photography.  My dad has given me a Vivitar 70-210mm 1:4.5-5.6 MC Micro Focusing zoom lens (52mm) and just wondering what sort of adapter I would need for this lens to fit onto my new camera - NX1000. Any help would be greatly received. Thank you.

Hi Everyone, I bought a new NX1000 and have been using an old MC 50mm on it. No matter on what mode I shoot, I always miss out on something. To explain briefly, In Aperture mode, I cannot seem to set the shutter speed because its grayed out and I cannot select it. In Program mode, the exposure setting is grayed out(the one from -3 to +3). In manual mode, ISO settings is grayed out. I cannot seem to use the shutter priority because I always get an error which says "Check Lens". The main...

Hi dear friends, This is my first time logging in here. I have a question about my shot taken 2 days ago. Attached are the exif and the image. I used f/22 to get LE shot...and the result is there were many dirts/dots on my picture. Can anyone help me explain what happened?i don't think it's because of my lens...is it because the body of my cam..I am using nx1000 20-50mm lens. Thank you so much.

Hi everyone,  I love my NX1000.  It hit the right price point last year and came with more than enough features for my needs.   However, I've never been able to take a perfectly sharp picture with it.  Everything looks fine on the LCD, but after zooming in (using GIMP, IrfanView, and Samsung's Viewer), things just seem blurry.  Shaky.  Still objects, like leaves and trees, have a ghosting effect.  This happens even in "smart"mode.  Does anyone know how I can stabilize my shots while in the...

Hi All, longtime lurker, first-time poster. A couple of weeks ago (after I got the 45mm lens and put it on), my pictures have all had a small shadow/obstruction at the top of the frame (image below). I've swapped out various combinations of lenses and filters and it persists, so I feel fairly confident that it's not a problem in any of those, but in the camera itself. To me it looks physical, rather than a glitch, so my question is can anyone give me an idea of how to fix this? cheers, Rich
