Outstanding Build Quality, better than any Canon or Nikon that I have had before. Easy to use, so many features and so compact as well. A really nice camera and at a bargain price. Paid £799.0 with lens and free battery. Problems: None

Easily the best thought out Pentax dSLR to-date. And now the prices have come down a little, it once again occupies the territory of providing terrific bang for the buck. Build and handling are excellent, and make you wonder why other brands - even with smaller sensors - need to produce something much larger to achieve the same result. And the Pentax feels terrifically well made too. Aside from the well-rehearsed improvements that others have mentioned in this list of mini-reviews, is the ...

K-7 is a DSLR with an incredible feature-set! Image quality is good with generally low noise and high details. Problems: No problems.

This is my first SLR camera. I reviewed the cameras available from Nikon and Canon in this price range and was disappointed in how they looked at felt, using very cheap plastics, on huge bodies with inconvenient controls. This Pentax, however, just feels lovely. The metal enclosure is beautiful and really comfortable to hold. Isn't cold to the touch. Size is perfect, at least for my hands, and can be used comfortably with one hand, something the Nikons and Canons in the same range cannot. My ...

sorry I did not buy this camera however I managed to spend some time with on a bitter cold day at Bear Lake in rocky mountain natl. Park Colorado the temp was 4f with gusty winds of up to 35 miles per hour. Problems: I took a dozen or so photos the camera performed perfectly in every way the photos were exceptional using an cheap kit lens This camera is far better than rated Neg--my right hand is a little to clumsy for the small size

Ok...never heard of Pentax...always been Olympus or Canon guy...tried the Kx...yeah not so much...Then I decided to give the K7 a try...OMG am I the happiest fool on the planet! First, Olympus, Nikon, Cannon...weather resistance...for less than $1.2G.....maybe you could give us some..Thx! I'm not going to re-list the specs. I don't do a lot of low light shooting, but what I have done so far has been VERY low noise level. I was surprised! Quiet. This thing is SO QUIET! You almost thing its a ...

An Extremely Valued Package.... I switched for shooting quality and characteristic primes. A very good value package for body and 1645 kit for us$1250 equiv. I'm adding 14, 35, 55, 77, 100 soon. Pentax is a very niche brand now in digital. For daily snap shots I'll continue with G10. Pro's: 1) Intruitive and easy handling, a very good balance of quick handling and parameter sophistication; 2) Less expensive lens choices (with same quality I believe); 3) Comprehensive features so you don't ...

I have been a Pentax user for around 45 years now beginning with an S1a/S3a. Over time I have used Voightlander, & Ricoh in the SLR modes. My last & first DSLR was the *istd, anniversary edition in Australia. Whilst I was generally happy with it, I found that it had dust entering problems when visiting countries that experience dry & windy conditions such as inland China. In good weather conditions the images were good, bit a let down in murky weather conditions. While I had considered an ...

I've had the K-7 for a month. It is an upgrade from an *istDS which I still love. The difference in IQ is phenomenal. Better than any 35mm film I've digitized. This camera has enough features to keep me on a steep learning curve until the rumored full frame comes out and that one will be bought at the end of it's cycle. I just plain love this camera with both new and old glass

I've had this camera for several months now. The small package, the features and the simplicity makes this camera a joy to use. IMO, this is the best single feature of this camera...You will fall in love with photography with this little gem. K-7 with a Pentax prime attached to it is a thing to be caressed and enjoyed :). I've never enjoyed taking pictures this much before, what else can I want from a camera? Problems: I haven't had a single issue.
