I have never been so enthusiastic about a camera in a long time. With the exception of my mental Olympus E-10, this camera blows me away with all the metrics that matter to me. Nice low light performance shooting nature in the shadows especially, and the colors so rich, and engaging. Good detail. Must get better glass to exploit it more though. Build is chunky without weighing like a bowling ball around my neck. Nice control layout. Love the LCD screen too! Pentax K-5 II
This little camera is actually smaller (minutely, but still) than a Canon Rebel T4i (650D), but unlike a plastic body like that, man can this take a beating. And mine has. I've dropped it several times (not on purpose I swear) in the last year I've had it and it still has not failed me once. The controls are intuitive (although if you're coming from another system they may take time to learn), and everything is easy to control while looking through the viewfinder.
