I have been looking up cameras to choose from.  This will be my first dslr. I want to try and get the best value.  Out of these few which one would be the best if I could get them around a similar price.   pentax k5 pentax k50 pentax k500 nikon d5200 nikon d3200

Hi all, I'm test driving an E-M1 but my main camera is an Olympus E-3. I'm not sure if mirrorless is my main squeeze but it will always be the best sidekick. Since Olympus gives me nowhere to go in DSLRs I've been thinking about a K5ii + Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 as one option.  What would I miss? What would I gain?  I think I'd miss tilt swivel LCD, dual card slots, Oly dust buster, Oly JPG color engine and my Zuiko lenses.  I'd gain better high ISO, DR, slightly smaller body, slightly better DOF...

Hi everybody. I'm planning on upgrading my gear a bit. I do mostly landscape and love (a bit too much) wide angle so I think I need to change my photography habits to improve my skills. I'm going on holiday in Iceland this summer and to make sure I make the most of it need some new gear. The trip will be expensive enough so I know I won't be going back anytime soon, hence the need to have a good reliable photography gear. For now I Have: - K-7 (with rear dial occasionaly not responding for a...

Greetings,  I'm thinking about trying Pentax because the K5ii is a bargain and Olympus DSLRs are a dead end. I have three Tamron SP Adaptall-2 lenses that I really like and I'm thinking about keeping them if I switch.  Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 Macro.  Tamron SP 300mm f2.8 + 1.4x TC + 2.0x TC Tamron SP 35-80mm f2.8-3.8 How do they work with the Pentax mount? Any compatibility issues or foibles on a K5ii? I had planned to get the Nikkor AIS 400mm f3.5 someday. Are there solid adapters for Nikon to...

I would like to purchase a K5iis through Amazon.com. However, the only sources for this model are from dealers I am not familiar with. Being skeptical, I worry about these being grey market cameras, and wonder if this makes a difference in warranty coverage. Does anyone have experience with "Another Deal Site" , the first source that pops up on Amazon?

Im interested into taking landscape photos and I'm on the market for a new camera. currently iv been looking at the a6000 and i also like the pentax k-5iis. Im leaning towards the 24mp sony but i noticed that the k-5iis has a one stop dynamic range advantage, will this make a huge deference when taking a landscape photo?

I still got the K5, also a little bit of LBA, with the 70mm Limited HD being the latest addition. But there are times when even the great low light capability is not enough, so I need to get a flash. For now I need it mainly for indoor, kids party style of pics, in poorly lit homes of my friends. I suppose I need to bounce flash and stuff - so far improvised with small cigars packages mounted on the flash. In the future I'd like to look into strobist / wireless stuff, so whatever I get now...
