I ordered the Pentax 50mm1.4 A K Manual lens from KEH I understand the other manual settings required for shooting in Manual mode except the green button. When I shoot do I set the aperture on the lens, THEN press the green button, THEN half press and focus until I get the red light and fully depress, and all of this will get me the correct aperture? Hi everyone,  I wanted to know if you can connect the Toshiba Flashair Wi-Fi card to Pentax K5iis, and what are the steps in doing so.  Thanks!

I was satisfied with upgrade my K-x with K50 but some advised me to go with either K5IIS or K3. Now I can find K50 with 18-55 wr and 50-200wr ($546) while K5IIS with18-135 wr ($800) , while K3 with 18-135 wr ($1000). I know K3 is the best, K5IIS is between, but i need some opinions from one who has tried or used them and whether the features differences worth the above prices with regards.

I am about to purchase a k5iis and need to determine what lens I may need to (or should) purchase. I have a fifteen year old pentax zx-50 with a smc pentax-f 1:4-5.6 35-80mm and a 1:4.7-5.6 80-200mm. I wasn't sure if these could be used as is or are worth trying to use. This is my first dslr and I am just learning the basics. I shot some nice photos a long time ago but am essentially starting at the beginning here.I'm currently considering purchasing a pentax da 50/f 1.8 and/or a 35mm da l...

Just received my Asahi SMC 135mm M f3.5 Manual lens from KEH and as usual it looks like new. When mounted I get a flashing ( F--) and nothing works. What do I need to do to use this lens with my K-5lls? Thanks, Tom W(ret) --...a bad picture is like a missed putt, it's never your fault.http://photographybythomaswhitehurst.zenfolio.com

Is there a way on the K5 to enable lens correction on a single shot, like a custom button setting? I looked but didn't see anything. I love in-camera corrections but they obviously take time (hella less time for camera to do it than me, though) and they are not all necessary for every shot. Is the K5ii faster? Does the K3 offer it? Is the K3 noticeably faster with in-camera corrections? I bet it has faster processors, but its also dealing with a lot more pixels, so maybe its a wash? Basic...

Hello, I used Nikon D5000, Pentax K-x and Sony A65. Now i want to use either Sony a7 or Pentax  K5IIS. I have some good M42 lenses to use with either of them but i need some advice about both cameras from who used both of them to check the advantages and disadvantages of both even they are belong to different kinds (Full frame and APS-C frame) with regards.

I've been playing with the D-BG4 battery grip that came in the bundle. Been trying, anyway. I can see why it can be an important accessory--perhaps even an inseparable extension of the camera to some. Pretty cool that the camera can power-on, with power available only in the grip. Q1: Can I assume that the power transfer is seamless when the on-camera battery is depleted, if power is available in the D-BG4? Q2. Does the K-5 IIs (or some batches of it) have any known issues with recognizing...

Hello all.  Can anyone recommend literature on how to make the best of the Pentax K5ii, for someone who needs a bit of hand-holding?  The manual can be a bit too dry:).  Thanks.
