Hello, I have the option to purchase a second hand K-30 with the following lenses for $800 : Tarmon 70-200mm f2.8 Pentax 18-55mm WR Samyang 14mm f2.8 Everything has been used for 1-6 months and is in perfect condition and some of the stuff has warranty. Do you think this is a good idea? Thanks, Albert
I'm still enjoying my K-r since I got it a couple of years ago. Probably a few miles left on it yet. I've been wondering though, with the newer models (K5II, K-30, K-50 etc.) have Pentax bothered to enter the Newfoundland Standard Time zone as an option in the setup? This time zone is not available on the K-r and I'm forced to use Atlantic Time Zone (i.e. Halifax. Nova Scotia). Newfoundland Standard Time is UTC -3.30. Just curious... ____________________Andrew J. I've looked on eBay for a remote shutter release, and I've noticed that the Pentax models mentioned are inconsistent. So, my question: Is the K30 remote shutter release same as other Pentax models, i.e., will a remote for the K10D also work on the K30? Thanks, Greg
Two questions for k-30 users: 1) How is Depth of field control (button) implemented and is it possible to assign DOF and AF to different buttons? 2) Does the mirror flip when pressing DOF button while using a K or M series lens?
