I've been using Vivitar 283s and 285s for thirty-some years, one on camera, others triggered by slaves, or often just an on-camera flash bounced off walls or ceiling. There is always a bit of trial and error involved in getting perfect exposure. I would like to get the best dedicated shoe mount flash I can for candid people photography. Is the Pentax AF540FGZ II my best bet, or is something from Metz or Sigma going to do the job as well or better? --Jonathan BlocherInstructor of Art, Design,...

I have managed to get debris (specks) on top of my focus screen. If the screen can be removed, how? Thanks, Dan ---Christian Amateur PhotographerChoose life's involvements carefully with an eye toward eternity.

I am planning to get a heavy super telephoto lens, Sigma 150-600mm Sport, for my Sony A7RII. My current tripod is a Sirui R-3203-N leg with K-30X ball head. Should I get the Induro GHBA Gimbal Head or Manfrotto Heavy Telephoto Lens Support with Quick Release? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/655338-REG/Induro_485_000_GHBA_Gimbal_Head.html http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/554099-REG/Manfrotto_393_393_Heavy_Duty_Gimbal.html --"Keep calm and take photos"Photography enthusiast, from...

Hello All, I need your advice on buying a replacement foor for Canon 100-400 MKII lens. Currently available ones are - Kirk LP-61 and RRS LCF-54. I'm into bird photography and tripod vs handheld usage is 50% each. So, for usage on tripod (Sirui N-3204x + K-30x Ballhead), I'm thinking of replacing the foot for better stability. Could you please guide me on which would be a better replacement foot. --Cheers!!!Srinath.https://500px.com/srinathpreddy

My K-30 allows me to lock focus and then recompose by keeping the shutter release depressed halfway.  However, despite what may be meant on page 94 of the manual (grayed area, second indented bullet), when I recompose the shot with the shutter release still depressed halfway, the camera acquires a new exposure based on the new composition, apparently abandoning the exposure supposedly locked initially.  Looking at page 78 of the manual, Custom Settings 1, number 5, (AE-L with AF Locked), it...

Surely the K-30 has more than one Aspect Ratio available? I just noticed the LCD image does not fill the area. There are bars at the top and bottom. I have searched the Menus and Manual with no results that I can find. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I really like my camera. Thanks...Dan Christian Amateur PhotographerChoose life's involvements carefully with an eye toward eternity.

Three things I don't understand for the K-30: 1. Focus peaking 2. How to AF Fine Adjustment: I can follow the instructions in the manual. What I do not understand is, that there is no mention of using the lens of choice while making the adjustment. 3. How to effectively check for front or back focus. How to set this up. Any help with these things will be appreciated very much....Dan --Christian Amateur PhotographerChoose life's involvements carefully with an eye toward eternity.
