I recently upgraded from a *ist DS with which I had no problems whatever. The upgrade was painless in terms of familiarization and operation and the difference in overall image and build quality is amazing. I wanted to jump to the K20D but couldn't justify the extra £200, and nearly changed brand to Nikon. I am very happy with my choice. Fantastic Value for money and superb build quality Problems: Absolutely none. And I don't expect any

I moved up to the K200d from the ist DL and have no regrets. It is a solid camera and enough features and versatility to meet the needs of all but the most demanding pros. The K20d doesn't offer enough extra features to justify it's extra cost for me. I can do most anything I need to do with this outfit, and am very pleased with the results. Problems: It would be nice to have the lcd on top lighted, but not a biggie, and a second control wheel. These are on the K20D but at another 5-600 ...

First of all, this camera is REALLY worth every cent. I bought it with the 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 and the 50-200 f/4-5.6 kit lenses for 699€ and I'm more than satisfied. A nice, small and good camera, a good choice for both beginners and advanced users. Great image quality even with the kit lenses, fast AF and even good for macros. What made me choose the K200D instead of the Nikon D80 was the water and dust protection, integrated shake reduction, many different settings for fast pictures and ...

I have shot over 3,800 pictures with the Pentax K200D so far, for both love and profession. The K200D is the Working Photographer's Tool, whose design approach is fidelity to reality as efficiently as possible with the current blend of technology. For its class you're looking at the best-bang-for-the-buck package. Even its kit lens is the most satisfactory of any I've played with so far, even Nikon. Its ISO 800 performance is impressive, and even more-so if you've a fine RAW workflow with ...

The best entry level DSLR. Shake Reduction, weather sealing, exceptional image quality... Problems: A bit slow frame rate but adequate for 95% of users

I find this Camera a bit slow. I have tested this camera by local dealer, and I find it a bit slow. Specifications exept continuos shoting are great. Does anyone else have filing, that the camera is slow or I didnt read the manuals good. I stil havent decided what to buy. Problems: Camera is slow.

I've been using k200d for 2 weeks and consider myself a happy camper. This is excellent camera, especially considering the price. IMO, very good for beginners, but advanced users will appreciate it, too. Problems: Lacks some features in comparison with k20D but the price difference of $500 compensates it very well.

I have taken over 1000 photos with the K200D and have noticed that the RAW images have a green cast compared with the JPG more correct colours. Even in Photoshop I find this difficult to correct in a balanced way. Has anyone else had this problem? For some 20 years my favourite camera was the Pentax ME - the smallest film SLR - a joy to use. The K200D is too heavy for its market bid - "family and beginners" and compared with the ME it is a burden to carry on a hill walking holiday. I await a ...
