K200 is very very good camera. I did extensive comparisons with various Canon and Nikon cameras and I kept coming back to this Pentax for the value and options it offered for the price.

My second Digital SLR, after the Nikon D40X, and the beginning of my "love story" with Pentax. It was so joyful to use, than after it, i'll stick to Pentax for their DSLR. I can't adjust myself to Canikon ergonomy, than i find mediocre. The two negatives was the AF,  AF's points was too big, too sluggerish in the dark, and continuous shoting is inexistant. And the ISO performances, but it was a common plague for all cameras with CCD sensors. A true photographic tool, i'm still using mine for ...

Very easy to use but intuitive enough for keen amateurs and enthusiasts alike. 5/5 build quality of the body, Very ergonomic. Very good and flexible raw modes and files. Build in shake reduction will work with any Pentax lens ever made (will require bayonet adapter for 67, 645 and m42 mounts). Very good 11 point autofocus. In my opinion, A better camera than the Nikon D60/D3000, At an even lower price. Problems: 2 breakdowns! #1 jammed aperture lever and shutter refusing to fire, but camera ...

I went from the ist*DL to this one. IQ is excellent, and on ISP100/200 there is hardly any difference detectable between raw and jpeg. For travelling, the ability to use AA batteries is a huge bonus over proprietary LIPO batteries and their silly chargers, and non-rechargeable lithiums last for a very long time. Problems: No problems at all. I wish it was a bit smaller and lighter - it is about 1/4" bigger all round over the *DL.

I like the heavy and sealed construction. In built shake reduction, the top LCD and the possibility to mount old K-lenses in this class convinced me after all. Jpeg IQ could be better, ISO 800 and 1600 show a structurelike noise when shooting standard. I turned down the sharpness 2 steps. Shooting in Raw (DNG) provides really excellent pictures. I miss the feature to combine self-timer and bracketing, ISO-Button would have been great, but Sv-mode and FN-Button makes up for it. Problems: Using ...

I have had this camera for 3 months. I had bought one earlier, butit died on me and I had to return it. The replacement seems fine though. I am coming from a K100D and so far this camera is good. It feels more solid, the focus seems a bit more sure, and its just overall a better camera........ except for the noise. Problems: The reason I gave image quality a score of 4 is because of noise from ISO 600 and up. This is a problem that I never had big issues with with the K100D. I could go upto ...

I've brought my K200D with SMC 18-250mm lens to many picturesque spots, e.g. Angkor Wat and Thailand. The result was amazing. - Handling is ergonomically correct. - Build quality is very solid, especially no dust found inside the camera after those dusty trips. - Image quality is great. - Menu is easy to use - AF is good although it may be confusing when taking fotos in the very dark, but this is not the problem, I can use Manual Focus. - View finder is very clear and big. So, no problem ...

Bought as a back up for K20D's & for street photography as it is not as intimidating to subjects. The build quality appears seems excelent ( just feels solid) The weather sealing is a bonus as I mostly work in a marine enviroment. It has become my personal camera with a screw mount Super-Takumar 1.4 50mm lense. Yes manual focus & I'm a 60 year old :) Problems: None to date & based on K20 don't expect any
