It has been a great help, for me, to view user feedback on products. few cameras crams all those features into a sub 1.000 $ package, SR, weathersealing, etc. A highly versatile camera. Strong construction. Extensive features, that I still after 1 ½ year continue to find new things. IQ impressive, (first year I only shot JPEG), would like better high Iso, but then I should go for K20. I would say easy to jump into, though many tweakings possible. I like hiking, and no other camera gives me ...

I just got a used K10D (excellent+ condition from KEH) with the kit 18-35mm F/3.5 lens for $400!! Yipee! I also got the dpreviewed 55mm f/1.4 lens. This is all a replacement for an Olympus C-8080. I am very pleased and my "problems encountered" are are mostly superficial (but resulted in a 4.5 for ease of use). Although my camera was a C-8080 before, I have used a number of DSLR's and am generally very picky with quality and design. Given the price (especially used of course), build ...

HA!! Bought mine in the shadow of the K20 upgrade, and paid 1/2 the original sticker price.. Upgraded from the k100D, and am 100% impressed. With the firmware upgrade giving one-touch control of the ISO setting in AV/SV mode, with the addition of the Hyper Manual mode, I can't image a camera that has more control over the way images are captured. Read the DPreview carefully- the contrast setting does have a big impact on the shadow detail in your images (at least in .JPG) which can show ...

FIRST: DP Review's analysis of the K10D is fundamentally flawed. Cameras at this level should be shot in RAW because the format allows you to tweak (without any distortion) your photos to perfection. JPEG does not allow for this. JPEG is soft on this camera (but, RAW is perfect) but is not a valid means of comparison to the competition. Now for my review...

Hello everybody! It's an excellent camera!!! I can't understand why users try to find any problems. Don't shoot JPG mode and everything will be OK. If you want to shoot JPG set the following: TONE - bright; SATUR - +1or2; SHARP - 0 or+1 and CONTRAST - -2. Your images will be much better than using default settings. But i adwise you to shoot RAW. P.S. Sorry for my english. Privet vsem! Otlichnaya camera! Ne vizhu nikakih ser'eznyh problem. Glavnoe - ne stav'te zadachu naiti neodstatki. Da, ...

Best DSLR on the market (value & price) when I purchased this in June 2007. Very happy with it. Best feature is the quality of the sealing - this camera did a 35 day East Africa tour with me and never skipped a beat. It survived a dusty Serengeti and a very dark and wet (rained heavily while we were there) Gorilla trek in the Virunga NP in the DRC. Of three friends that went with me, the photos I took are by far the best of the Gorillas, even though the setting was exceptionally dark. ...
