Overall this is a very capable lens but it is also a costly one. Photographers who genuinely need its f/4 constant maximum aperture and weatherproofing measures will doubtless be willing to invest in a lens of such quality but others may rightly hesitate. Optically, the Pentax 60-250mm ƒ/4 is a winner: with excellent results for sharpness, even wide open, low amounts of CA and virtually no light falloff or distortion, it's an easy decision if you're already considering this lens and just needed to know whether or not it performed.
