Pictures in zhe interior arent very good. Its hard to hold the camera not to have the picture blurry in the interior. Otherwise Im quite satisfied. It was a goog chice. I wonder know if Optio S5i is better. Problems: Pictures in zhe interior are blurry.

I am very pleased with my S4i. The best with it is that it is very small and it is very simple to handle, with clear menus and smart and fast ways to most functions. Also interesting is that it is possible - and simple! - to shoot moving pictures (with a 512 MB memory almost 1 hr without stopping!), as well as to record voice. Problems: The only thing I am a little disappointed at is the time delay before exposure: I estimate it at half a second. By the way, sometimes it takes half a second ...

Sensational little camera, Fast autofocus, very capable of high quality 8x10's. Good zoom range with easy to use controls. Traded my original Optio S for the new Sony small 5 mp camera. The Sony with Zeiss lens did not compare to the Pentax Optio S. The Sony was heavy and did not feel as comfortable in hand. Also, the Sony had no viewfinder and was very difficult to use in daylight. I sold it and went back to Optio S 4i and have been thrilled with the quality, weight, and ease of use. Much ...

I think this is the greatest camera ever built. You can always have it with you. It is so small I have a little problem using it because of my large hands, but can live with that.

Sweet little point and shoot :) Take a look at the photos " no photoshop - just point & shoot". www.jasontoth.com/trip Problems: None for a little point and shoot! Some people complain but what do they expect from a $400 camera you can put in your pocket. These people are just camera snobs, if you want better images get a pro dslr?

I bougt this camera recently and took it on a trip last week. I have to say: it's awesome! First of all the size, which is absolutely perfect, i kept it in my pocket ALL the time, and it looks really nice too. Before i bougt it i was a little concered about the image quality, but i have been very positive surprised (i think that the image quality is VERY good when compared to the size of the camera). The LCD has a resonable size ("1,8), not small and not that big. I comes with a cradle, which ...

I have had this camera for 2 months now and love it. I have also purchased the underwater housing and taken over 500 UW shots with it. It does have a marine mode especially designed for UW photography which is nice. Unlike many others on this forum, i rate the image quality good. Problems: My only negative comments would be a lack of infrared lamp assist and slow recharging time between flashes. I guess you can't have everything. LOL

Sold the S4i and got a SD300/IXUS40 Canon which is the same size with so-much better photos and stunning video. S4i was Good= Very Compact, Easy Use, Good Ergonomics, Great Menu, Charge Cradle is Perfect!! You cant take the photo if you are not carrying the camera and the S4i is my "always carry" camera. Most image problems can be fixed with manipulation on PC. Just pretend it is a small 2mPix camera and you will be happy with it. Also Own Nikon3700 (Great Video but Crap Menus - gave it to my ...

I picked up this camera a month ago, and am extremely impressed with it. Bought at futureshop in canada, and had them price match costco.com's $350US, plus free 128SD card and case. Quite a deal! when futureshop was selling for $500 canadian with no extras. First of all, its a very small camera, so no it won't take pictures as good as a SLR. I have read a few complaints about this. I am impressed with the image quality, and do not notice any blurry edges, except corners which is expected with ...

Don't get this camera if you are interested in high quality images and decent indoor performance. Buy it if you will only ever take outdoor pics, will never print anything larger than 4 x 6", and want a small lightweight camera. Hmmm... how realistic are the caveats for your average user? Hardly I think is the answer. I happen to own the Canon S410 as well and bought it around the same time as the Optio. As an owner of both, I can claim to have the highest authority in comparing the 2. If ...
