This camera is good but the pentax is overshadowed but the casio exslim Z3. The casio is identical in evrey respect except its build quality which, is much better. The battery door on the pentax feels a little flimsy where as the Z3's battrey door has a satisfying clunk. The Z3's screen is also brighter in a outdoor conditions and is 2 inches not 1.5 as on the optio S. both cameras are made by pentax and have exactly the same lens htey cost the same and are more or less the same size. The ...

Wicked little box of tricks. Pocket sized. Easy to use straight out of the box. Nice little extras like video and sound snippets. Great little viewer and easy to config on the menu's. Even the tiny battery does a great job of staying charged - can fill an 128 SD card on one charge! My 1st digicamera after looking and looking for what feels like eons! Problems: The only 'problem' is the caching issue mentioned in the review on this site. You can't take another picture whilst the picture ...

This is a great little camera. It is small enough to fit in your pocket, designed well enough not to worry about it and is reliable enough you can trust it. I am fairly new to digital photography but so far this camera has not had one single problem, responds quickly(menus and mechanics). Easy to understand and quick menus allow you to switch settings easily. Battery life is great. It comes with lith-ion and charger. Image quality is great. The auto settings are all I really use. -Over ...

Very good little camera. If size counts, then Pentax Optio S is the camera for you. Like others, I have other digital cams, but was looking for a "take everywhere camera". This camera is certianly a take everywhere. Image quality is was actually quite better than I expected concidering the sixe of the lense. I have seen much worse images from more expensise bigger cameras. For all those that would like to see what type of pictures one can expect, then go to this page http://www.steves-digicams ...

I've just got this tiny camera for a few days. It's first impression is marvellous as it is the most smallest digital camera(DC) in the world so far. It's my first DC and I loved to use it. It's very user friendly. Can anyone tell me through my e-mail that is there any date imprinting function for this camera? Problems: The indoor image quality is a bit blur.

Excellent camera, wonderfully compact. This is my third digital camera. It's easy to learn how to use, though advanced features take time. My only criticism is the microscopic rocker switch on the back. This is used only for a few, select functions, but you more or less need to use a fingernail on it. An Altoids can has worked great as a case.

VERY nice little jewel! :-) Problems: 1) Bad image quality compared to other 3 mega pixels cameras. E.g. Canon S230 is WAY BETTER IMHO! All pictures look a bit out of focus and I've not seen one single picture on the net that's impress me! 2) The joystick is VERY little and can be tricky to use. 3) And the biggest problem: Folks thinking that this is a forum... READ THE RULES BEFORE POSTING...

I bought this camera yesterday, so this will only be some first impressions. First it´s incredibly small, besides the altoids tin, it also fits in a box of cigaretts. I´m quite satisfied with the picture quality, i think it is good in proportion to it´s size. 3 megapixels are enough for me, you can do good prints in A 4 format. I will update this review in some weeks, when i have more experience with that camera. Problems: For now, there are no problems. Some people write that the tiny 4 way ...
