This is my first digital camera. My buddy let me use his Optio for about 2 weeks before I talked myself into getting one myself. I considered purchasing the Canon S230, but I was sold by +1x more Optical Zoom along w/ a new “Sliding Lens” system. I also found that most stores couldn't keep the Optio S on the shelf long enough to accumulate dust. I purchased an extra 256MB of SD memory which appears to be more than enough storage. All my pictures/videos are taken at the highest resolution. ...

Love the concept, and feature set. Even a few years from now when its tech is obsolete, it should still be useful due to its small size. Don't mind switch position as it gives me a more relaxed hand than if it was closer to the strap side. Like the voice recording feature for voice memos. Quality control seems to be an issue and gave construction and image a 2 because of it. hope they do an upgrade on the firmware to improve video as it is blocky, and to bring images up to the quality ...

Great little camera for the size. Ultra compact and super light. I specifically wanted a very small camera so that I would be that much more tempted to take it with me everywhere. I never leave home without it now. The color is very nice, although maybe slightly washed out. The flash is great as is the red-eye reduction. I was very impressed with the quality of the movies, especially the sound that was captured for them. Problems: -I have noticed a slight amount of barrel distortion when not ...

I waited until I'd had this camera for a month to write a review. 1. Size small & light weight - Can't beat it, fits in a pocket or small purse, have it with me all the time. No more "wish I had my camera" regrets. 2. This is my first digital. I found it easy to use, functions on back are well placed. The manual is good, software not bad either. 3. It is loaded with features that even larger digitals don't have. Some manual features. You can record information with a picture, or do a ...

WARNING!! Problems: UPDATE: I do not recommend this camera. After one week the screen started to "flicker", images got very dark some times, white turns to redish etc. (some times, specially when zooming) after walking around a beach with the camera I noted a small space between the front-shell and the back-shell of the camera. This must have been where a little bit of sand got in. When I got home I sent this camera to service. Because I didn't mention there was problems from the beginning ...

I have another one and I was wating for a small camera with a good resolution. The size of this camera is very useful. Since two weeks I took around 300 photos and I am very surprised With the result. I always have it with me. I encountered not any problems.I was surprised with the capacity of that flash. The battery is very good. I took very good shot with the macro. Problems: No problems for my utility.

I really like this Camera! The smallest digital camera with complete functions! I recommend you to buy this camera especially for you who like travelling everywhere. This camera is easy to bring, easy to use and very good outlook! Problems: My problem is until now I don't know "how to put the date automatically" on every photo!!! Does anybody have any idea how to put do it? I'll really appreciate it. Or is there any program to do so? ps:Now I'm using ACDSee 5.0 to organize my photos

Ultra compact, but a real camera none the less. You can go from fully 'automagically' to somewhat manual control. Problems: Remote control cannot be used for advancing slide shows. TV-out a bit dissapointing. Some zooming errors, where image lines appears to be missing. Voice recording is not possible without pushing the lens out. On/Off and shutter release buttons are "reversed". Battery cover feels a bit "flimsy"

This is a good camera for its intent. From one side, it takes relatievly good pictures, and has very convenient controls. From other side, people buy it because of its "cool factor". Its size and the way how lens folds/unfolds is really impressive. And it looks stylish. Keeping this in mind I can forgive softness of the pictures, and punction at wide angles. Problems: Sometimes when I switch power on, the camrea hangs. The only way to turn it back to life is to remove the battery.

I have had this camera for just over a month now and I take it everywhere with me. This is my first digital camera and I am very pleased with the results I am achieving with it. It serves the purpose for which it was bought, a take anywhere quick snap camera, excellently, so well in fact that with a bit of attention it is possible to compose and take some very nice pictures which far surpass my normal snapshot skill level. The automatic modes work fairly well for the beginner, although it is ...
