This is a great camera for the price! TONS of features..uses AA batteries and cheap SD memory (even SDHC)..and even has a histogram!! I've heard of people complaining about the battery life but I use name-brand nimh batteries and I find the battery life is excellent! I also love the grip on this camera! Perfect for one-handed shots. Oh and most importantly it also takes decents pictures. Problems: Slow start up/shutdown? Any pictures taken with high ISO (800-1600)are pretty grainy. You need ...

I've been using the Pentax since I was pre adolescent - the famous Spotmatics of the 70's, to the PC 505, WR105, Espio 160 and now the Optio M20. As a serious photo hobbyist, I love compacts and the features of the Option M20 proved to be very practical and user friendly for me. I found the AAbattery and the SD cards very convenient and affordable. I also have another digital camera that uses xD cards and rechargeable lithium battery and they're quite a pain in the pocket! This camera is great. Is very simple of use, good for amateurs photographers. Quality image is good and her have a basic features for a good picture.

I bought this camera because I wanted a cheap digicam that could take a half decent picture and also had good video functions, and this is the one! Battery life is outstanding. No idea really how many shots it might take, but 500 plus is a good guess, possibly the best of ANY digicam out there.
