I own many digital cameras, am somewhat of a collector. used to have a 750z a few years ago and was not too happy with the IQ of this camera. Pictures werewashed out and somewhat fuzzy. the camera would also frequently freeze and the screen would turn dark. Well, I gave the camera back and had formed the opinion that the 750z just wasn't up there in quality. Well I could not resist when I got a good deal on ebay and bought a pretty well-usedd 750z for only $58. The camera has some ...

Only bought this in May 2007, new from unsold stock, as a pocket P&S. It's a bit too big for a pocket camera but its an impressive tool. Far better than the slimlines on offer today. Classy looks and great image quality. I use it like a standard film camera, meaning I use a 512MB card card and shoot TIFF files. This gives me app. 24 shots. Like the optical viewfinder and the whole look and feel of the camera. Has full manual controls, if a bit clumsy. After only 3 years I can honestly say, ...

I've used this camera for about a month now. It's a really enjoyable camera to use and very flexible. I have a Pentax *ist DS dslr, as well as a Pentax MZ-S 35mm SLR and I consider this 750z my main camera now. This is due to it's small size and excellent image quality, which while it cannot quite match the above SLRs in certain circumstances is truly close enough in most situations. Resolution is excellent and noise at ISO 200 and 400 is well controlled, and not worth considering IMO at ...

Explanation of the ratings: Construction: I wish the rotating display was made of metal and not of plastic Features: the camera is one of the best equipped cameras in the market, especially now that the high - end compacts are not produced any more Image quality: It is good, however there is noise in ISO 400 (as in most compacts). Tends to underexpose. Easy of use: the camera is very usable and within a week a photographer can master the controls. Value for money: Considering the money I paid ...

After using digital cameras for several years, i was looking for a new small P&S to carry with me, when not using my DSLR. After reading a lot of tests i decided to buy a 750z, although you might think there are better cameras, when reading professional reviews. But the 750z is an excellent choice. You can customize almost every feature, buttons are well placed, you have a swivelling display, image quality is very good and the the camera ist fast enough for 95% of all shots. You won't find ...

This is my fourth digital camera and my first Pentax. I bought it one month ago with a very reasonable price, only 220 USD (second hand). I love very much the retro-style of this Pentax Optio 750Z. It looks like a cute view-finder film camera. In fact it is a 7Mp digital one! After one month of using, taking over five hundred photos, I am very happy to own such a digital camera - Retro style. - Small size so it fits in my pocket. - Swivel LCD - Menu is very easy to use. - The quality of image ...

I shoot with the Canon D60 and 20D, this Pentax I bought as a carry around camera. The Macro and resolution of this camera has been to say the least INCREDIBLE!! I simply love it. The review would have you think the camera is so-so well let me tell you it is the best PS I have used bar none. I give this camera a 10 on most of its categories. Problems: The swivel screen could have used some beefing up. All else excellent!

I bought the 750Z in August, replacing a bulky Sony Mavica. In the five months I've had the camera, I've been *very* happy with it. It's small, lightweight, has great battery life, and (most importantly) takes great pictures. Big thumbs up from me! Problems: The external lens protector gets stuck every now and again (easy to fix), and ever since I took pictures in the rain at the World Series, it has made a funny clicking sound. But neither issue affects picture quality.

I have taken many pictures with this. Check the image gallery at www.kogagrove.org See the time-lapse video I made using the 750Z interval mode. Battery life is very good. So much functionality. Problems: Sometimes focusing in macro mode can be difficult. Flash coverage is limited.
