A good camera... except for the following problems: Problems: lens: mine is always sharp in central portion... it can be quite soft in corners and edges. AF: there is a point in low-light situations where mine will not lock focus, yet it will not turn af-assist lamp on because the lighting is too bright. Casting a shadow on the subject by putting my hand between light source and subject, it will then turn on af-assist lamp and lock focus. This is not right, as the af-assist-lamp should work ...

This is my first digicam, which I bought after the not-so-positive review on this site. I nevertheless like it very much. I still have some things to learn, but the camera is easy to use and most pictures come out very good. I especially like the compact format in combination with the 190mm which already give me some very nice 'bird' pictures. I can recommend this camera. Problems: The flash seems a little overpowered, but after slightly using an underexposed flash compensation it looks much ...

I have had my camera less than a week. In testing the various settings and taking several dozen test shots, about 80% of them are acceptable. Focusing was a major problem on many images. I was very impressed with the sample images available on line but I have yet to achieve that image quality. I have not upgraded the firmware as yet but plan on doing so. Granted I have much to learn about this camera and definitely advise all to read the manual very carefully, which I obviously may need ...

A long process of deciding on a camera and being excited by the 750Z came to an unfortunate conclusion. The camera was returned for a refund. The rating is based on the fact the camera did not function correctly. Had it focused well, I would rate image quality 4.5, and value 4.5. Problems: Automatic white balance is not all that accurate. I've seen this problem worst on some other cameras but for the money, I expect better. Focus was my main problem. The camera would not lock into focus on ...

I bought this camera as a supplement to a DSLR (that I plan to purchase soon). My main criteria were a pocketable camera with manual controls, at least 4x zoom and a decent image quality. Both the Olympus C-7000 and the Optio 750z fulfilled these criteria, and I went for the Pentax because of the swivel screen. Some of its other siblings in the 7 mp department probably deliver slightly better pictures but on the expensive of bigger sized bodies. I’m very content with the image quality of the ...

I bought this camera for the following reasons: 5x optical zoom, light weight and small size, 7mp image capture, good optical viewfinder, extensive controls, swing-out LCD. I'm very pleased with the choice. My only other digital camera experience is with a Canon S30, also excellent, but very old and limited compared to the new Pentax. Image quality seems excellent to me though probably not as good as the best dSLR cameras. Colors look very accurate and the lens seems very sharp (my ...

I found this 750z was amazing camera. I strongly recommended any users who are looking for compact body but excelling very high image quality performance. A 7 mpixels in this pentax gives you incridible picture details. Features in 750z are quite reasonable unlike some cameras providing too much & too complicated to remember. Overall, I give 2 thumbs for this little heaven on earth, especially its strong flash for indor shooting. Problems: LCD with 1.8 inches is a bit too tiny to review. ...

I did alot of research on digital camera's and decided finally on the Pentax Optio 750Z. When I got the camera I read all about it and then tried out some of the features. The camera is awsume and so are the photo's. I print my own photo's and have used alot of different camera's to do this and I must admit this is the only camera I did NOT have to adjust the photo picture it had taken.. Satisfied YES very much with everything about the camera and the results I achieve with the pictures I take. ...
