Well, this camera is indeed not one that gives mindblowing results. It will cost a lot of photoshop hours to get a satisfying image. I bought this camera for about € 399 euros in 2002 and was one of the first 4 MP cameras at the time, this was the first and last time that I thought more is better. Most pictures lack of detail, and contain, even shooting at ISO 100 (minimum, maximum is 200), a lot of noise. Some positive points on this camera are the construction and it's handling. The body is ...

Some pictures are good, but the most of them are bad. The battery is good, the optical viewfinder is good, the macro (I used many times) is good, but there are a lot of problems which made me unhappy. Avoid Pentax, or this model! Problems: Indoor, the pictures are blury, bad focused, almost always. I have to take 100 pictures for having 6 good. This is a very bad camera. Before I had a Canon 2 Mpix, which was very, very good. This is a very, very bad camera! I was, and I am very, very ...

This is 'just ok' for me. I previously had a MONSTER Kodak which performed better. Problems: I have problems with the time delay and getting decent pics of my kids and pets etc. The time delay is too long. Can anyone help ?. You can email me tonyb@sagatrade.co.id.

I bought this camera for £249 (uk) when most places were listing around £300. The first thing to say is that the cameras build quality , size and photographers features were great for the money. However the picture quality was very "noisy" when looked at closley , although i admit this was not as obvious when printed out. But i still think that the pictures were poor for a 4 million pixel camera , no matter what setting you put it on (ie: 100 iso etc as people have said in reviews) , although ...

Bought it as first digicam September without doing much research. Took a long time to realise that the default settings are not the best way to get the best out of it. Some of the very critical user reviews may be understandable, but I don't think they reflect the potential of the camera. That said, other available cameras (e.g. the 4mp Canon Ixus/Elph) are clearly more foolproof, although the manual options and general user interface on the Pentax are excellent. Problems: Sharpening process ...

An excellent choice for the climber/skier who needs a quality camera that is durable and compact. I have used the camera for 800+ images in the past 3 months and have found the image quality in outdoor settings to be exceptionally good for a camera this compact. It's battery survived a 5 day ski traverse and allowed for 178 images at the best setting. Like other comments, it helps to read the manual! Very easy interface and a reliable point and shoot camera. It handles difficult outdoor ...

The images are just not up to par. They are noisy even at iso100 compared to other cameras. There are better cameras out there at this price range.
