Picture quality of this model is very good. I am always shooting with best resolution and least compression. The Optio is overprocessing the pictures slightly, giving them a video-like look, which can be compensated by setting the appropriate menu to "soft". The flash as well as the LC-display are draining the battery pretty fast, although the capacity reaches its maximum only after quite a few loading cycles. (I get approx. 100 shots with flash.) Although there may be better cameras in terms ...

I had a complete Nikon SLR film outfit and found that I wasn't using it because of the size of the camera and the issues with hauling around all the equipment. I used my Rollei 35S much more but still hadn't used it in the last 5 years as much as I would have liked. I thought if I had a digital camera which was gave more immediate results I would take more "snaps." Boy, was I right. I use it for pleasure and business. I take photographs of my trips and include them in my reports. People ...

Great little camera. Nice to see pentax on the block with canon. Would highly recommend this. Great low-light Problems: A little more chromatic abberation than I would like, but it's not unusual for a small cam like this.

I bought my Optio 330 for Christmas. I have been very pleased. I only shoot in best quality, highest resolution. I added a 128M Smart Card which I found on the web for about $40. I've heard the camera takes Nokia batteries - I'd like to find out what kind. My expectation for this camera was as a replacement for my film "point and shoot" zoom autofocus. I am not a professional photographer. The camera perfors flawlessly in this regard and has the benifit of being so small that I just slip it ...

having read all these reviews and more, eventually did go for the pentax, seems fine so far. Low light AF is a problem even with firmware upgrade, however manual focus does work and expect that in time you will soon learn how to 'calibrate' the little focus bar (that has no units) video seems good although I havent yet managed to play this on PC (no drivers, any help?) Problems: battery life is short but then what do you expect? Out of the box 70 shots lots of LCD and flash and zoom (cos its ...

after a 15 day trial, I decided to keep the camera. The picture quality is great! What more do you actually need in a camera. I think if you buy middle of the road now you can have great pictures now. And it won't hurt your pocket book so much when you upgrade later as the technology strenthens.Which it is very quickly. I have done extensive research. Pentax is a very reputable camera company .And I think it is a superb choice!! Problems: I wouldn't exacally call them problems, but it would ...

Purchased it a few ago and having a blast with it. Dig into the manual (could be a little more user friendly) and it will help. Another member of my family has a Nikon 885 and we've been comparing. The Optio 330 is a value for its money. Problems: No problems to date. I'm used to recharging so I'm not complaining about the battery charging.
