Hi there, So I have been undertaking a heap of research over the past few weeks in order to upgrade from my TZ10. So I bought this camera probably influenced by the marketing of megapixels, zoom and positive reviews from digitalcamerainfo.com. Whilst the camera did suit my needs in terms of capturing acceptable zoomed low-light shots at music gigs - it's not pulling its weight for my current needs/wants: Recording quality music YouTube videos in varying lighting conditions - mostly low. Hello I'm a pentax shooter. I'm still using my K10D, although rarely, with prime lenses (31 & 77 Lims). In the last years I had very little time for photography, and I found compact cameras more comfortable for snapshots and traveling light. Not to mention that they make movies - and since I'm a father (four years since) ... this become an essential usage of a camera (before that, I didn't consider at all filming capabilities of a camera). In the last few month, after my compact Panasonix Lx3...
I have a k-01, and have been toying with the idea of getting a MX-1 for something small with a zoom for vacation snaps instead of changing primes like I do now and lugging a bag of lenses around. My other choice is to buy something like the 18-135mm for the k-01, but I am not thrilled about the size. Also, my main grip about the k-01 is shutter lag and slow it is to catch focus sometimes. With a toddler, my keeper rate is way lower than I'd like and I am missing precious moments. Anyone have...
Made a shortlist using snapsort. Looking for a compact pro to get into photography as a hobby. The price differences are not that high so please disregard. Want the best overall in terms of actual photography, and don't care about wi-fi or gps, so won't use snapsort's own ranking. Anything stands out as best or better to avoid? For example, I'm reading the P330 can be very slow. Obviously, I'm doing my own research, but additional views would be appreciated. Nikon: Coolpix P7700 Coolpix...
