I recently bought a GX7 and like much about it, but although the colours seem better than the GH2 I once had (as has often been said), I find that when photographing landscapes in the North of England, where greens and browns predominate, I'm having to adjust the white balance quite often in changing light.  I would be interested to hear whether the GX8 (or 80/85) AWB is any better at coping with these kinds of conditions?  I realise you can set two custom white balance options, which helps,...

Hello everyone, I am still looking for a good second camera. I almost opted for the GH2 and hack it, but I felt I should go for a new model. I am from Europe, so the GH4 has a video limit and so does the G7 (1080p AVCHD as well). The noise levels from the G7 are far better than that of the GH4 when it came out. But has it changed with the new firmware? I ordered the GH4R (which has the new Log and no video time restriction), but the G7 seems like such a good alternative. If only I weren't...

The more I think about it, the more I will opt for the GH4R. I did find a good deal for the GH2, which I could hack and all, but I am not so sure about using a hacked system. And I checked most of the GH2 hacked video samples. They look pretty good, and they would better blend with the LX100 than the current old LX5 and the beloved LX3 I have (no 1080p, either). Maybe I am unconsciously biased, but I like the GH4 video quality better. I see the Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 (€200) seems close...

Short version: I bought a Panasonic G7 and want to know what cheap used lenses to look for that work with my camera. Read on at your own discretion. Otherwise meet me in the last paragraph and give your opinion. I am a proud new owner of a Panasonic G7 (with 14-42 kit lens) and so far I like everything about it. But as I look toward the future, I want to make sure I fully understand the M43 world as I am a complete neophyte. First, a little about my camera experience and goals. If you find...

I'm sure this questions will sound really dumb and obvious but i'm not a really great researcher so i couldn't find my answers in the forums, i mean, i'm still confused :(. In manual movie mode i can shot in FH and FSH modes, can someone explain me the main differences? In normal language, is it 1080i or 1080p? The differences between the two? In 24P cinema mode i can record in 24H and 24L modes, what's the difference between the two, and when should i use the 24P cinema mode? What's the...

I have set up my EVF-LCD button to switch between Aperture and Exposure Compensation in the display.  There are times when I'd like to go back to the EVF-LCD function, but now I've forgotten how I made the change and I can't find anything in the manual to refresh my memory.  Anybody know how? Sorry about having to ask.  It's just another senior moment.

Olympus UK have a deal for EM-1 with 12-40 and 40-150 Pro lenses for £2k. I currently have an FZ1000 having had a GH2 previously (it broke following a fall). I like the FZ1000 but I can't get very clean output, I think because it's too light so I have trouble keeping it steady. After reading these forums for weeks, I was trying to decide between EM1 and GX-8. My question is whether I will really notice the difference considering the outlay? My usual photos are family portraits, landscape and...

I'm hoping to purchase the Metabones EF to M43 Ultra 0.71x with the Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 for my Panasonic Lumix GH2. The only information I can find on this set up is for the GH4, because the crop factors are so different between both cameras I'm unsure if I will get too much vignetting on the GH2 sensor. GH2 has a crop factor of 1.86 and the GH4 has a crop factor of 2. Any ideas?

I currently have a gh2 and was looking to get a 35mm equivalency lens. They both would seem to have a very similar field of view and similar f/stop with the booster. Anybody have any thoughts on which would be better? Obviously the the build quality is better on Voigtlander, but optically is there a big difference?
