Hi! I want to upgrade from a simple point-and-shoot camera to a bridge camera (also called superzoom camera). I've found five possible candidates: the Fujifilm Finepix HS 30EXR, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150, the Nikon COOLPIX P510, the Panasonic Lumix FZ38 and the Pentax X-5. I'm here to ask you guys which camera you think would be best for me. What I want to do with the camera: shoot street fashion photography - this means that I would like to have a camera with a lens that has a possible...

I have access to the following cameras - lx7, zs7, and fz150.  I am taking a 3 week trip to Prague, Budapest, Vienna, and Salzburg. Primarily, we will be walking around the old town areas during the day and evening (to see night time city scenery by the rivers) and visiting the interiors of cathedrals, churches, and museums. Any advice about the camera or combination of cameras to take and camera settings for inside of churches and night time scenery would be greatly appreciated.

When using the standard Sports mode to photograph the grand-kids indoor sports, I seldom get good shots.  The Sports mode doesn't anticipate movement so it's always behind and the buildings are always dim so we don't have much f/stop & shutter-speed wiggle-room.  And what about focus mode?

Recently bought a fz150 to use primarily for video at church replacing my fz28 that I had been using. tried camcorders in this price range but was not getting the quality of video that I was getting with fz28. Had to adjust white balance and speed for the lighting conditions because the autoset was too dark. It appeared light enough when setting , but then darkened when starting to shoot video. Is there any way I can put these settings in as a preset so I don't have to duplicate them each time...

Hello everyone !This is my first time posting on the dpreview forums, so please bear with me if I do anything wrong :-)As indicated by the title, I am looking to buy a camera with a price range around 300 euros, 350 max, with as much versatility and image quality as possible. I have no preference in size or type (compact, bridge, hybrid, dSLR...), so at first I started to look for a bridge camera (Canon SX40, Pana FZ150 and others) , but after spending much time reading reviews, looking at...

Hello guys,I am between the p510 and the lumix fz150 and the main reason for not going straight for the nikon is the number on negative comments about it not focusing fast or accurately enough. What do you have to say about that on your experience?

Hi.I have a Nikon D90 with a telephoto lens 70-300 mm for most of my bird pictures and i am very pleased with that. But I need an extra camera to have in my car, because I sometimes see birds at my job or when going to or from job, that I want to take pictures of. The Nikon is much to expensive to have laying around in my car and therefore I need an inexpensive camera. I know i can get a DSLR camera very cheap, but then I have to by more lenses. My question is: Are the FZ150 fast enough to...

New poster - I'm just getting back into photography after a lot of time away (during which I just stuck to point and shoot).  I have an FZ150, which I've really enjoyed (but probably didn't use to its maximum ability), but just got the FZ200 home to play with for possible upgrade.  I've read a lot of the threads here so I know some of the various debates re: the two cameras.  The lens alone is enough to make me want to switch.  My biggest concern is what is next - will I be sorry I didn't...
