I'm posting here as only other place I figured it fit was the Sony forum, which I did. But since I'm on a Mac and Mac people tend to be helpful, I thought I'd post here, too. Hope that's okay. I have a gifted version of PS 5.1 (without license number) with Camera Raw version 6.7; and Lightroom 4.4 (with license number). I have many raw photos in LR from both Sony RX100 & Panasonic FZ150. I am able to export the Panasonic RW2 files to PS. But when I try to export the Sony ARW files, I get this...
Is this the best place to ask this? I have a gifted version of PS 5.1 (without license number) with Camera Raw version 6.7; and Lightroom 4.4 (with license number). I have many raw photos in LR from both Sony RX100 & Panasonic FZ150. I am able to export the Panasonic RW2 files to PS. But when I try to export the Sony ARW files, I get this Photoshop error message: 'Could not complete because the file appears to be from a camera which isn't supported by installed version of Camera Raw. X-S1 2/3in sensor: better IQ than FZ150 1/2.3in sensor? I like the FZ150 for many things, including good IQ considering the size of its sensor. Years ago I had the Fuji S100, and when I look at the images, in many cases it's evident that the 2/3in sensor generated better IQ than the FZ150. Less noise. (I sold the S100 because of its anemic burst rate, small buffer and slow write times.) The question: does the 2/3in CMOS sensor in the X-S1 deliver better IQ than the 1/2.3in CMOS sensor...
After reading numerous threads about teleconverters, it seems that canon TC DC58A or Olympus B300 would work best for my budget. Now question is where to find them? From my readings I understand that DC58A is not made any more? Ideally I'm looking for new items but can't find them anywhere. Any advice?
My 76 year old friend is hoping for a Bridge camera with viewfinder for photographing flowers, insects and birds as well as the grandchildren. I have the FZ150, bit more complicated to use than the FZ20, the viewfinder is not great and the intelligent auto which I suspect she often uses gives images that are often over-exposed. She does not have Photoshop but is looking to get good, crisp images. What would be your suggestion?
I had just about settled on getting the Sony Cybershot HX200V when I saw notes on here raving about the RX100 which is a lot more expensive. Then I found out the newest model up from the HX200V has come out which is the HX300. Now I've read a few negative reviews about the newer model, one that said it was "problematic." I'm an amateur photographer who's constantly learning and wanting a newer camera to learn on. I do have the Sony Alpha A57 and two lens but sometimes prefer a smaller...
