Hi I'm eying a GX7, and my only worry is how swiftly it can autofocus with the Olympus 14-42 IIR. I know Panasonic has some optimizations for their own lenses, but I'm a little concerned that I'd be losing something compared to an E-PL5. (And yes, I'm down to choosing between an E-PL5 and a GX7, something I never thought I'd be doing. I'm very happy to have the problem!)
So, after a lot of thinking about it, I am about to purchase EPL5 twin lens kit from a local shop. I still have a few questions even after searching the forum here. I have 11-22mm , 14-54mm mark 1 , and 70-300mm lenses. I wonder will they a), work OK on the EPL5 with appropriate adopter b) work, but AF will be too slow to be useful c) will not work at all Are the two kit lenses, 14-42 mm + 40-150 mm II R ,worth purchasing or am I better buying body only and using my 4/3 lenses? -I have had the Olympus E-PL5 now for several months. When I have downloaded my photos to my laptop, the camera and the card are always empty after doing this, but now for some reason the photos in the camera are not being deleted. Is there a way of me getting back to where I was or can I delete multiple images at a time. I keep losing my settings recently for some apparent reason, could it be due to "bugs". Is this a possibility.lee
I recently found that when I turn on my E-PL5 there is a loud noise, first is like whir~~, and then come with the wired sound "pus", start from 5 second and end in 6, I'm not sure what is wrong, can anybody tell me please, the camera can still work and nothing special I've upload my video here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hoxwn2drBQI&feature=youtu.be Thanks a lot
I own a XZ-1 currently, and thinking of upgrading to E-PL5, for the faster AF speed and also better image quality, I shoot my kids mainly (gosh, this doesn't sounds right). As I have never had ILC before, I am thinking of sticking with the Kit Lens for a while. I do know that eventually I will need to get a Portrait Lens. My question is, is the Kit Lens comparable to XZ-1 in terms of Bokeh? The XZ-1 has a 1/1.6 size sensor, and 6-24mm 1.8-2.5 lens. And I found that the best Bokeh can be...
I have had my E-PL5 for about 8 months & am not very happy using the screen for composing full time. I am used to my Canon DSLR's [60D + 7D] I have looked at a couple of u-tube reviews which seem to favour the VF-2. Has anyone had this item, is it good & is it a better bet to buy a used VF-2 or a new VF-3. I have never used a EVF but don't want to sell the Oly. Any help appreciated. An interchangable lens camera that compact with a viewfinder is just a dream come true. But once I saw the resolution being only 1,166,000 I have doubts on whether I can tolerate with this resolution. Even the RX100 III has higher resolution than this. I have used the Sony A3000 before and the EVF is just a nightmare, but given it's price it's a fair trade. But from what I heard the GM5 won't be cheap given pre-order price is almost $900 on Amazon 0.o . A 2nd hand E-PL5/6 is currently at low...
Hey everyone, I just bought an Olympus Pen E-PL5 and I am wondering if there is any way I can use a wireless shutter release remote control with it. I did some research and I was only able to find some threads about using a hard wired remote control but not a wireless one. I need them for big family portraits so I'd really prefer wireless. The E-PL5 does not have built-in wifi but it is Eye-Fi connected so is there somehow I can use the Eye-Fi to connect to a wireless remote? Or perhaps you...
