Hi I have a Epl5 from olympus that i bought a year ago really cheap with the 14-42 and 40-150 kit lenses. Because i wanted to learn about photography and i started enjoying so much i bought the 45mm f1.8. And i'm really loving portait photography and low light scenarios. The thing is now i want to invest in more lenses to compliment my 45mm f1.8 to replace the kit lenses, like the pana 25mm f1.4 for exemple. But then it striked me that i miss an EVF, more than i would think, so i would need...
Hello! I was hoping you clever lot could help me with an issue with my E-PL5, is there a setting that mirrors the image whilst taking pictures and browsing menus? The camera has decided that both plans should be mirrored. All the menus appear to be flipped 180 degrees and oddly it will rotate the image 360 degrees when the camera's rotated 180 and invert the direction of which the image passes along the screen. I find this all very odd and cannot for the life of me work out what the possible...
Just bought a used E-PL5 and checked it all was working fine before updating the firmware to 1.5 (was 1.1)Since the update, the Movie stabilization doesn't work even though the menu item say's it's enabled and the on screen setting is set to either M-IS1 or M-IS2. IOW: No stablization actually occurs on the LCD or the recorded file..Is this a known issue? The update downloaded and installed just fine and I didn't remove the cable until OK appeared on the LCD.(Yes, IBIS works in Stills...
My u43 path so far has been E-PM1 (to test if I could deal with u43) -> E-PL5 -> E-M5-II. I just received the E-M5-II a couple of days ago - so far, so good. Prior to u43 I shot with a Nikon D70 and D200 for about 5 years. Before that I shot film, first with an OM-1 and eventually with an OM-4T. I think the picture shows how much the E-M5-II feels like coming home after a long trip. Perhaps that is why I instinctively optimized the function keys for manual focus - f2 MF, f3 peaking, f4...

Can anyone offer me advice on how to get my computer (Mac) to recognize my new Olympus OMD EM10 Mark II for firmware updates? I'm using the Olympus firmware update software and following their directions but software keeps saying no camera is connected, even after deleting and re installing the Olympus software on my Mac The computer is wanting to download pictures from the camera so it seems my connection is fine. I wonder if there's a camera setting I need to change? The Olympus firmware...
Hello, My friend is looking for a camera (his 2nd one, he had PnS Canon earlier). He is not into serious photography and open to both, fixed lens and non-fixed lens camera. I believe, fixed one should be convenient for him to carry it, if he is not into experiments and learn down the line. I was trying to read reviews about Stylus-1s, which is $383 reconditioned right now, with president sale discount. There are less threads related to this camera, so I thought of getting opinions of experts...
