Hi all My everyday camera is a Nikon D7100, and I have been a Nikon user for quite some time now, but I have been trying out some smaller cameras for over 1 year just to get the feel. I recently purchased an Olympus E-P3, and would like to update the firmware as it is showing version 1.0. From what I have read, I think that the newer version is 1.3. I also have a VF-3, so first: I would like to know if the newer version does anything to improve the VF-3, and my next question is: why do you...

Hi guys, newbie here! I was using the HD 1080p mode on my EP-3 with the original 14-42 mm lens for shooting a video but I was struggling at the focusing close-ups (around 10 cm). It worked when I pressed the shutter button but it won't sustain, only if I don't release it. Am I missing something? Cheers.

Hey guys. I'm very much a clueless photographer who still struggles with all the technical jargon and I have a couple of questions that have been bugging me recently: I own a Nikon D40 which was my first camera and an Olympus OMD EM5 which was given to me. I've been trying to learn a thing or two about photography in order to compliment my blogging and my initial experience with the D40 and its 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR kit lens was decent. I later picked up the 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED for some...

I just updated to E-M1. I also have E-M5 and E-P3. My first camera was om-1. Still have it. My question relates to continuous shooting speed with four thirds lens. I have 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 II and 40-150mm f4-5.6. Just notices that when either lens is at wide angle neither E-M1 nor E-M5 will shoot at maximum speed. When are both at maximum focal length they will.  Both cameras and lenses have the latest firmware.  Would appreciate answer if anybody has the same experience.  Thanks in advance  B

Hello all. Happy new year to everyone. My question is, I have 2 Oly E-P3 cameras, and would like to purchase quality leather cases and wrist straps for both. Could anyone be so kind as to point me in the direction of any such items? thank you all for any replies.

comparing it with the E-M5 on the E-M1? One thing I love about the E-M5 is how quick and quiet the shutter sound is compared to the E-P3 or the really loud one on the E-PL3. Is it about the same, louder, or more quiet? --Dave

I'm looking for an upgrade to my beloved Oly E-P3. GX7 is really appealing with its electronic viewfinder, really good specs, good form factor and nice looks. I need assistance though about some general Panasonic stuff: How is the Panasonic raw conversion software (ideally compared to the horrendous Olympus software)? Face recognition and focus. I use  Face priority on the E-P3 a lot. Just have a face in the view (in any focus mode), full-press the shutter and have a perfectly focused...

I would like to buy two prime lenses for my ep3; my budget for both is $1,000 total. I’ll buy one now and one in a couple months. All I have now is the kit lens. I like taking photos of plants, bugs, pets, miniatures, food, craft projects, and things that fit on a table top. I often take pictures indoors in dim lighting. Most of my targets don't move. I have no interest at all in photographing people or landscapes. I have some interest in street snaps, but only occasionally. I strongly prefer...
