Great images; great camera, but not perfect. This camera fills a big niche for me: 90% of the times that I want to use a camera, the E-P1 fits. 5% of the time, I want a lager, faster, DSLR with excellent lenses, and 5% of the time, I want a tiny, pocket camera for snap shots. The E-P1 gives excellent, low noise results - and I don't expect any camera to produce "low noise" shots at ISO 1600 and up.... The E-P1 produces ISO 800 images that are superior to most other cameras at ISO 200 or 400. ...

Beautiful images ( however needs some getting use to as focusing is slow with the 14-42mm kit lens). Not the best camera for action or kids running around but for potraits, landscapes and for street photos. Absolutely lovely. Colours are a joy to behold. The creative functions / filters are fun. I love the retro look and the feel of the camera in my hands. I now use it 90% of the time, over my G10, FZ50, R1, E3 and E510. I dont miss having a viewfinder. I have the FL14 and the FL20 and prefer ...

I have spent more than 3 months with my E-P1 and its 14-42 mm zoom lens, shooting most of the time using P mode at 200 ISO. 75% of my pictures were taken outside in mountain, 25% in city or indoor. Using the E-P1 is very easy including the often used controls (exposure and manual focus) using the upper control dial. Picture quality is very good with a lot of details and "macro" gives wonderful results. Coming from the Canon G7 and its poor viewfinder, I feel comfortable with Live View ; ...

I have spent some time with my E-P1. Now with over 2,000 pictures under my belt and experimenting under nearly all conditions, I feel I can give an honest evaluation. The feel of the camera is good. The Live View I'm getting used to and actually begining to enjoy. You have to trust the the camera will do what you have set it up to do when in bright sunlight. The histogram is great tool. It all works. Picture quality is exceptionally good. Tones and clarity are very pleasing. I can do a 3 ...

Neat camera! Seemingly huge viewfinding compared to P&S cameras, and the accsssory finder is perfect for use with the 17mm making it much easier to frame shots than do the EVF's found on small cameras. Great carry around with it's short lens. The 'retro' feel and look works very well for anyone old enough to have cut photographic teeth before plastics. I think it'd be better if the leatherette was all around as most oldies were, but the Pen EE was NOT and that's the camera used as the model ...

Very good image quality imho. I like retro look. I can use a lot of lenses. Very good size and quality feel. I love this camera. Problems: I miss an optical viewfinder.

THis camera is simply fun. I love taking it out during the bright daylight hours using the Grainy B&W Art setting. The Pinhole & Pop Art setting are also fun. Problems: Huge problem! After a couple of weeks I noticed a couple of "bruises" on the LCD. Then, while I was on a motorcyle trip I put it in a saddle bag and when I next pulled it out the LCD was squashed and useless. It hadn't been dropped, stepped on or abused in any way. The LCD is too fragile and a redesign will be necessary. ...

A great revolution which impacts the camera society. Wonderful and appealing appearance, with perfect straight jpg color, especially for landscape and things photography.

Unimpressive picture quality to balance the low points.. sorry Olympus! ...But it looks like all the 'fans' around here offer their love and passion and ask for nothing in return. Problems: Returned it after 5 days of testing. I wish it would be a joy but it's not as I expected...
