So I have the panasonic lumix gf3 model right now and I love it but my daughter who is about to turn 3 has started taking pictures. So I figured since I have a very good knowlege of the ins and outs of cameras but want to stay with mirrorless is the best to go with. I have found several cameras that have peeked my interest and need a push in the right direction. I shoot landscape, pets, and of course my child. If there is a camera i have not mentioned but you highly recommend  please put it...

I am looking into buying this 4/3 camera and need to look into accessories for it. What hotshoe flash would you recommend for it? Anything from Yongnuo or Metz? I am thinking something with TTL. Also, what triggers, besides PocketWizards, would work with this camera. I currently have several Yongnuo trigges and wondering if they would work; RF-603 II and Rf-603 II C1. Thanks for your input.

Looks like a vertical shift. IS is turned on. 1/80s  17mm lens  Is this the mentioned "shitter shock"? At 1/80s I'd expect image stabilisation to work. This is background detail. Does stabilisation only help things in the focal plane? Thanks  - Richard

A reasonably large portion of an image taken on the EM5 with the 17mm lens - f/1.8 Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it was not that a friend's new mobile phone performed so much better in this situation. So what happened? I guess the background is out of focus and we're seeing its bokeh, something that would not be on a small lens camera like a mobile phone? It does cover much of the face. Thanks  - Richard

My apologies for the long story, I am looking for some feedback. I fit the profile of an 'enthusiast'; I am an early adopter of the M43 system, a choice that I never regretted. Portability is a main concern, taking most pictures while traveling/trekking/hiking. I like traveling light. In recent times I started taking pictures at concerts and other indoor event. I must be doing something right, since more and more people approach me to do some work for them. Yay! I am shooting an OM-D E-M5,...

After much reading of reviews and comments and carefully evaluating what I really need/want for a camera I had decided that the E-M5ii has the best combination of features I desire (weather resistance, real viewfinder, compactness, flexibility, and expandability) with minimal number of compromises. While IQ is always important, the aforementioned factors as well as the camera's customizable nature won out.  This will be my first camera after having a digital Canon A95, couple of film...

I have been seriously considering buying the Olympus OM-D E-M5 MarkII. However, today was wondering around Costco (in Canada). They have the original Olympus OM-D E-M5 2 lens kit (14-42 and 40-150mm) for $599 CAD (about $495). In Canada, the EM5 MKII is $1049 for the body. Tempted by the low price but at the same time the camera was released 3 years ago. I have read the reviews of both cameras and realize the differences are not huge. But just curious if anyone that has used both cameras can...

I have no experience with this type of camera and got it in November. It is the O-E-M5 with a 12-40 F2 Pro lens. I was shooting rapidly and thought I had it on auto though I had also been switching to video. The shutter button quit depressing. And the screen is black. When I remove the lens, the button depresses but when I remount the lens, it is stuck again. I am a novice with his camera and can use any advice. Thank you.

Eagerly awaiting my first E-m5 and have been reading on various suggested accessories. The great reviews for the jbcameradesigns.com grip excited me until I saw they're no longer sold on Amazon - and my email to the company has gone unanswered. Any suggestions on the next best grip for the camera. I can't afford the battery grip so it's the plain jane version I need.Thanks.And any other accessories I should get?

Has anyone done any testing on the actual performance of the OMD EM5 Mark II’s continuous AF? I’m particularly interested in tracking pets, wildlife and children coming towards the camera. I’d be interested to see any comparisons with the EM1. I keep reading that the CD AF is improved, but haven’t come across any specific examples or direct comparisons. Thanks.
