I bought my e-30 in 2009 and after a couple of months it started to produce a high pitched noise when the SSWF fired. It still does it today and my experience with dust particles on the sensor says that if there's dust then i have to remove it manually. Any ideas if it is some type of malfunction?
I've searched and found a few threads on this topic in the forums, but wanted to ask explicitly just to be sure: lately my 12-60mm has been over- and under-exposing shots. In some cases the viewfinder image visibly gets dimmer while I'm composing a shot, and then stays dim. At first I assumed it was my E-30 because it has behaved strangely in the past (software glitches I think), but in the most recent case I switched to my 50-200mm and found it worked fine, so I conclude it's the 12-60...
I am using a Nikon D90 atm, BUT, I've set it at 12.2 megapixels yet when I open even the raw file in PS its pixelated beyond comprehension, what on earth have I done wrong? (it has grain and that ok from the low liught, but its not noise, just horrid pixelisation, my Olympus E-300 and E-500 shoot better quality than the D90. Mind you, I've never used a Nikon before and finding navigating a little hard. So my question is this, should I stick with the Nkion D90? Or would my Olympus E-500 be ok...
I switched to Nikon a couple years ago but had a hard time letting go of my beloved Olympus gear. My husband is bugging about it though so it's time. Where's the best place for me to sell it these days? Just craigslist or ebay or are there any Olympus groups online that have selling forums? E-1, E-510, E-30 50mmF2, sigma 17-50mmf2.8, and more..... ------Cathyhttp://www.cathykurtzphotography.com
I am actually using an Olympus E-30 system and am planning to move into FF in the coming month or so and still undecided between the E-600 and the A7. I have handled the A7 at a Sony store and love the size-ergonomic. The EVF I could also live with. Main reason for me to choose the A7 over the E600 would be size. My main concern remains the lack of lenses, especially in the superwide range which I use a lot for architecture photos. I still have my old Minolta Maxxum 5 SLR and a few lenses,...
Hello, I'm looking for an upgrade to my E-30 for indoor high school sports. I've managed to get some decent shots (too me anyway) of my daughter playing volleyball but she is now in basketball and based on past experience with my E-30, it's a lot harder to good action shots with this combo. I generally use the 50-200 and sometimes the 50. I'm looking at getting either the EM-1 (with the 40mm or 75mm) or a Nikon D7100 with an 85mm. My friend has the D7100 and I'm sure it will do the job...
Quick search and didn't see anything. Now that it has been out a while, anybody able to offer information on battery life of the new EM-1? Any features that if turned on seem to significantly deplete the battery, for example WiFi? And if so by about how much. I currently have an EM-5 and am generally ok with it's battery life but also had an E-30 which was much better. Thinking with that big grip Oly missed the boat in not providing for a bigger battery in the EM-1. Of course would want...
Hi, I recently bought an old Olympus OM-10 camera kit including four lenses, of which 2 are Vivitar. My goal was to use the old manual focus lenses with an OM-4/3 adapter I found on Ebay on my Olympus E30. As it happens, the kit contains an Olympus 50mm f/1.4 that fits great on the adapter. The problem is that the two Vivitar lenses (one is a Series-1) don't fit on the adapter. I can't see why, the lenses both fit on my OM-10 and the adapter is specifically designed to mount OM lenses on...
