Thinking about getting the E-M5. Is it a worthwhile upgrade over the E30, as far as image quality goes? Many thanks for any response --Mannefrom Wasaga Beach, Ontario CApbase.com/photobasket

I've recently made the switch from the E-3 to the E-M1 and I'm looking to downsize my equipment across the board - size and weight reductions are the order of the day. I have FL-50R and Yongnuo 560 units which are both great, but somewhat unbalanced on the tiny E-M1 body and way more powerful than I need them to be in the situation I have most frequently used them in lately, which is indoors bouncing of a low white ceiling. I rarely go above 1/16 power. I'd like a flash that's small enough to...

Hi all, just got an EM-1 today, upgrading from the E-3, and figuring out all the settings. There's one thing I haven't been able to find in the manual which is annoying me - after I take a shot, it lingers on the screen for about 0.2 seconds, nowhere near enough to see if it was any good or if I need to try again. My E-3 retains the image for about 5 seconds which is how I like it - I don't want to be going in and out of review mode all the time just to see my last shot. Is there a setting...

I had a once in a lifetime lens loss (I hope!) this week…while in Yosemite National Park, I was carrying a couple lenses on a hike up Yosemite Falls. While near the edge of an off-trail cliff 1000 feet above the valley floor, I swapped lenses from the 35mm F1.8 to my wide-angle, sticking the 35mm in my hip pocket - something I’ve done dozens of times for quick swaps – and set up the camera on a timer. However, about 2 feet from the edge of the cliff I squatted down and POP! the lens squeaked...

Would anyone buy another E3 if they had a chance to get one with a shutter count less than 150? For 280 bucks?

Does anyone may know why my Olympus E330 stopped saving pictures? All other functions appear to be working like Focus, shutter speeds, but after taking picture the display only  shows Dust Reduction for a second and no pictures are save? By inserting another CF card with pictures on it, those  can be review. Thank you , Justino

I've a old dual core AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.2GHz based system with Win7 at the moment. It processes RAW files from my E-3 at an acceptable speed (I'm quite a patient person). I recently upgraded to an OM-D E-M1 and now desperately need something faster! It takes the poor old thing 45 seconds to process each file :-( My laptop running an Intel Pentium B950 at 2.1GHz takes 30 seconds to process the same RAW file. Looking on a cpu benchmark site the figures for these 1285 & 1718 are pretty much...

I've been using a GF1 for some time now both with legacy lenses and m4/3 lenses, but I want to move to a bigger body. I know the e-3 is an older body but I guess my thinking is the money that I save towards the body I can put into lenses. I was thinking of first picking up the 12-60mm lens to go with the e-3 and then afterwards maybe a prime 35 or 50mm. Any thoughts regarding this would be much appreciated. I'm open to hearing alternative options. Thanks!
