Hello, I primarily shoot with Pentax DSLRs with all those "gem" like Pentax limited primes. I also have Ricoh GR and Olympus XZ-1. Though my GR provides outstanding IQ in aspects, I love the out of camera JPEG color produced by my XZ-1. So, seriously considering to get one M4T camera with some prime lenses. I have checked OMD E-M10 and it perfectly suits my needs (IBIS is a must for me as I am used to that feature with my Pentax gears for hand held shooting). Having said above, It would be...

I was unsure where to post this query, spent a bit of time perusing the Macintosh forum, and ultimately have landed back in my comfort zone here at Micro Four Thirds. If there's a "Workflow for Dummies" book please point me that way. If this has been beaten to death in other threads, I'm happy to read those as well. I'm concerned I'm living dangerously on the edge of disaster as I try to grow beyond my old system of Macintosh/iPhoto/Photoshop Elements that automatically backed up via Time...

I had lost my USB cord and just purchased another, but when connected the indicator light is dimly blinking blue.  Does this mean that my battery needs replacing?

Hi. I cannot get focus (red box) at targets at distances up to 1,5-2m when my XZ-1 is adjusted in the following way: 1. wide end of zoom 2. P,S,A modes 3. AF mode On the other side, I do get an easy focus on these targets, when I turn to either iAUTO mode, or zoom just a little, or change the focus mode to eithet MACRO or TR (continuous focus on moving objects) That shows that the camera should be able to work with the prior adjustments. Is this a software problem, or do I miss a thing? Thank...

I own a XZ-1 currently, and thinking of upgrading to E-PL5, for the faster AF speed and also better image quality, I shoot my kids mainly (gosh, this doesn't sounds right). As I have never had ILC before, I am thinking of sticking with the Kit Lens for a while. I do know that eventually I will need to get a Portrait Lens. My question is, is the Kit Lens comparable to XZ-1 in terms of Bokeh? The XZ-1 has a 1/1.6 size sensor, and 6-24mm 1.8-2.5 lens. And I found that the best Bokeh can be...

I own a Olympus XZ-1 for around 2-3 years but haven't used it for anything besides travel photography. Recently I tried to use it to capture some moments of my 15 months old toddler. I found it very hard to get my son in focus. I was told by my friend that focus is a lot more technique rather than equipment, but at the same time, from what I have read online here, quite a few people are commenting that the "AF Tracking" feature on the XZ-1 is "pretty useless", hence I wasn't sure whether I...

Hello, I was thinking on some pocket camera to replace my old Olympus XZ-1 (normally I use Sony Alpha 580 with tons of lenses, so my bag is very heavy), like RX100 or Fuji XQ1. In the local shop I tested HX50 for a while and started to consider it. After reading positive review I think to change the decision. HX50 is comfortable in my hand. It has fast zooming lens (zooming in range of RX100 is much faster in HX50) and some other advantages. And is much cheaper. I was surprise about one...

Hi, I would like to ask about your experience with the MagFilter adapter/polarizer on the camera. What type and size do you use? Does it fit to the lens well? It causes some problems such as vignetting, etc..? I am thinking in particular about buying the smaller MagFilter adapter for 49 mm filters. I also know about the lens tube adapters but I do not like them because they are too large. Thank you very much for your help! Lukas

Love the XZ-1 I just picked up, astonishing results so far. But in low light and on a tripod, I have set bracketing to 0, -1.7ev, +1.7ev and it will not give me longer than 1/2 second exposure. Am I missing something?
