A great anywhere camera. Don't let the ratings fool you, this camera does a great job filling a specific need without costing a ridiculous amount of money. The Tough is built for the beach. If you want a cheaper camera that you can take places you wouldn't dare risk your super zoom/SLR/smart phone - this is a great choice. I bought this to use at work at emergency incident scenes, training, and while I am enjoying the outdoors. It has suited this purpose very well. On feature I like while at work or biking is the tap feature. This is nice when gloves are worn and is very intuitive. I plan to take it snorkeling, but believe me, it will be in a waterproof bag. We bought the camera (with an Ikelite waterproof dive case) specifically for diving. The thinking was that the camera stands a better chance of surviving if a little water found its way into the case. We've heard various people who claim to have lost their "waterproof" camera while snorkeling and were warned not to trust the "waterproof" claim.
