This was my begginer's digital camera. I used it for about 2 years! It got me over 15000 pictures! The quality of the pictures is not as good anymore, with 1.2 megapixel. However, for what I got back then it was certainly worth it. In addition, the design is amazingly strong! I gave it a 4 star for it's value, at least in my book. Now I bought a C4000 Zoom Olympus and can tell you it's worth upgrading to higher megapixels. Problems: None to be conern about folks. I dropped the camera quite a ...

I've had this camera for 2 years now, bought it right before the birth of my baby girl. This is my first digital camera, but I have been an avid photographer for years, owning 6 other 35mm cameras when I bought this (not 6 over the years, but owned 6 others at the time). Since I got my 450Z, I've not touch any of my other cameras. I've taken pictures of my daughter every day as she grows up. First year I took over 9,000 pictures (first time dad!) and 2nd year over 7,000. The camera just keep ...

I bought my d450z 2 years ago, and it's a decent, fun camera with no serious vices. At 1.3Mpixels, it is essentially obsolete, but still serves as a handy trip camera. I was intially initmidated, but after a little effort w/the manual, I learned it ok. Problems: Computer downloading is slow (but to be expected w/serial port). Keep the LCD screen off most of the time, and it'll save battery life.

I just traded up to an Oly C-2100, I hated selling my compact D-450, but as a webmaster of a tourism web site I wanted the 10 power zoom of the C-2100. I averaged over a 100 pics a week, yes thats over 10, 000 images in the 2 years I've owned it. Rarely did I have the problems of any image quality, indoors or out. Lighting is everything, you need to know what to do with it. If you had poor quality images all the time (another opinion) it should have gone back to the factory. Battery life is ...

I am a pro photographer/cameraman and picked this Olympus c920z as a first digital camera, as I always liked Olympus products. It impressed me with the results though it is under 1.5 MP. Very easy and friendly and not eating batteries. For quality work I have used its highest setting and got satisfactory results. Great as a second camera! Problems: Sooooo Sloooooow serial transfers. The manual is really a shame and not logically done.

Camera is rugged since I carry it in my Harley saddlebags. Hasn't given me any trouble but I wish the software allowed faster downloads. Soooo Sloooow! Problems: Havne't had any problems except for the Radio Rechargables don't last too long. Carry extra battery packs just in case the batteries fail

Read this beforebuying! I bought the D450Z 2 years ago and shot over 4000 photos with it. I have a few hundred good shots to show for it and thousands of what I consider JUNK. Clarity is rarely sharp with the lens that seems to be just out of focus. Indoor shots turn all fleshtones greenish. A friend of mine has the same camera and is as dissappointed as I am. Although I love the easy one handed operation and integrated lens cover, I recommend any of the C2000 series cameras for their ...

This was a great camera when it was first released, but you can get more bang for the buck elsewhere now. Don't get me wrong, I still love this camera.
