Great Camera for Still Life's I owned this camera for a couple of months, but became very frustrated with its speed. I lost many good shots of my grandson as the shutter released after the decisive moment. That being said, I was truly impressed with the build quality, and the range and speed of the lens. For those features, it became the stepping stone to my E1. It would have been the Optimal Pro-Sumer camera with faster and manual focus, and a manual zoom. After using my E1, I cannot ...

I have been shooting extensively with this camera for more than a year now. It is not a camera to pick up casually and think that great shots will appear with no work on the users part. With that in mind, I feel that unless you spend considerably more money for a dslr, you will be hard pressed to find a camera better for image quality and manual versatility. If you spend the time to get to know this camera you will not want to part with it! If you can find one to buy! Your choice now? the e- ...

I have used it for a considerable time now. It delivers excellent image quality under nearly all conditions if you customise your parameters intelligently. Problems: No problems as such.

I have owned this camera for a couple of years now and it has taken its share of pictures of all aspects. All I can say is that its a great camera, too bad Olympus didn't design it to accept additional lenses, but then thats why the E1,E300, and the new E500 are available Problems: None so far great camera folks

Mixed bag. Not real happy. I bought this camera in July of 2004 after reading many glowing reviews of its quality, in both construction and pictures. Overall the camera is solid. Rock Solid. Battery life is good, and when everything is dialed in and absolutely perfect, it takes outstanding pictures with excellent color, saturation, detail and quality. But therein lies the rub. Everything must *always* be absolutely perfect to take a good picture. The camera cannot cope well with low ...

This is my frst digital camera and I have been using it for work /MD-so plenty of photos of my patients with macro, in bad light conditions etc./ as well as a private camera for holidays, parties...Although I am definitely not a photograph expert :-( I can say that I do use every mode including manual and I have no problems with it after reading manual. I am very satisfied with the quality of pictures and if something went wrong it was my fault and not the camera. The value for money - this ...

I have been shooting more than 2 years with this camera, over 10000 photos This is my second digicam. I have been using numerous other digicams, nikon sony and canon, but never for more than a dozen of shots. OL 8080 has very good optics. Autofocus works great IF there is plenty of light and no distracting things. Battery lasts long time. Standard filter. 24mm wide-angle lens. Nice built-in flash with hardly any red-eye issues, that triggers by just opening it, just as it should. Great raw ...

I've had the Olympus C-8080 for 1½ yars now. I have taken fantastic pictures with it. I use it professionally and it's definately the best investment I have made. I can only reccomend this camera. I take a lot of macro photos and the cameras ability to focus is great. Recently I photographed tango (low light and fast movement). I was more than content with the result. I love to use this camera! Problems: When taking pictures in Tiff format (3264 x2448), it takes about 30 seconds for the ...
