I own Canon EOS 550D for two and a half years and I am very pleased with it. Before that, I used Olympus C-770 UZ some three years and fired thousands of pictures with it. However, browsing the other day photos on computer from both devices, although Canon is much more powerful, and Olympus walked slowly into oblivion, I concluded that the C-770 with the quality of photos may still have to offer a lot. Photos of nature taken by the daylight are vibrant, with vivid colors. I can say that in ...

A couple of weeks ago I decided to replace my 5 year old C-770 with a Canon SX20IS. Just in case I had some trouble with the new camera, I took the C-770 along, as a back-up, on a weeks holiday in beautiful Norfolk Island in the South Pacific. I shot more than 300 images on the Canon and only about 70 on the Olympus. Being a pre-digital age pro photographer, to me, image quality is THE thing that any camera is judged by. So when I looked at the images on my monitor, I decided right away to ...

I still use them but not as much the 770 is small and easy to carry I'm in the US and bought mine with lense adapter for UV & Polorizing filter. I've used my C-770UZ now for 3 years. I paid around £400 when they came out and still think it was worth it. They can be picked up used now from as little as £100 and this has to be a bargain! I've used other cameras during this time, but haven't found any to match the quality of the pictures with the C-770. I'm selling my EOS350D and sticking with this. Even though the pixel count is half that of the Canon, the picture quality is better and as I don't print bigger than A4 pixels aren't that ...

What can I say.... this is the second Olympus camera that has "misteriously" brocken down right after the waranty expires... this time, the camera seems be be stuck in Play mode... I removed the battery and card for 1 month in hopes it will reset itself, but it was still stuck. I tried to do a hard reset per instructions in the forrum, but that didn't work either... no matter what option I select (play, picture, movie), all I get is playback mode... argh! I am thinking of jumping ship so to ...

This was my first digital camera, and I have to say that it was a very successfull choise. The image quality is excellent, it is very compact, its use is very easy, and the zoom is powerfull. I am a night shot fun, and the night shot of c-770 is perfect. Problems: The only problem is the battery duration. In vacation I shot many photos and I need at least 2 batteries.

Problems: Auto disables the flash which means if you have a bright back ground the foreground image is extremely dark. If you fous on the foreground image then the background can be over exposed. Also focus with lowlight night shots

Love this camera! I've owned it over 1 1/2 years and traveled the world with it ...the photos turned out gorgeous. I'm still amazed at the quality of photos this little camera takes. I have no problem with camera shake using the long zoom. I thought I would, since I'd used only image stabilized long zoom digicams before. Colors are fantastic, I turn saturation up a notch, very true color. Very durable...I've hauled it everywhere, dropped it on concrete, still works fine. This is a real gem ...
