This was my first digital camera and I loved it, the creative options with control over aperture and shutter speed made this a great starter camera for my budding photography skills. However with cameras of this generation, 1999, there was delays with the start-up and shutter release, which was frustrating when switching from the speed of a film camera. However the ability to review your images even on this 1.8" helped push my photography and I was soon taking photos that were good enough for ...

Very robust. Good features. Excellent image quality (for 1999). My C2000Z is now four years old. It has shot tens of thousands of photographs. It has suffered multiple accidents - mainly falls - and the lens barrel was repaired once. I am surprised how well it still serves me. Certainly, it has a few problems - some were corrected in C2020Z and C2040Z - but I wonder if newer cameras are built to last this long... Problems: In the last year I've got the feeling it is over-exposing the ...

Great Camera I have really enjoyed my 12months with this camera and would recommend it. Don't confuse it with a cheap 2MP camera it really is quality and takes great pictures. The review on this site is fair and points out all the minor problems that i have found with it - many are put right in the 2020z so if you are looking for one of these on eBay then you might want to pay a bit more and get the newer model. I am changing it for a Ixus v3 becouse my biggest problem has been the size of it ...

This is my first "proper" digital camera as I previously had only a 350,000 pixel toy. I obtained it 2nd hand on eBay.au and I'm impressed! I chose Olympus partly because I have found their fibreoptical medical/surgical endoscopes streets ahead of competitors and now I find their cameras, too, are excellent quality. The only fault I can find is the power button and shutter release being too close together. Altogether a wonderful camera! When I upgrade to a new one it will again be an Olympus. ...

The camara takes excellent pictures for my needs. Web, printing, etc. Its small enough to carry around. Problems: The lens when it opens is frail. I ended up buying the bayonet that is used for the wide angle lens attachment. It basically a cylinder that screws into the area around the lens. When the len zooms out, its protected and the cylinder is still out of the way of pictures. No USB connection...

I've retired mine after two years taking shots of locations for films and photographers all over the world. It's taken great shots of the family and impressed professional photographers with the image quality. E-20 next! Problems: Lens cap, obviously. After hard use the lens mechanism can become unstable.

This line of camera has been improved with user feedback. I still use this wonderful camera and get fabulous results. It produces incredibly good image quality. You can check out the picture quality at my travel web site at: My Travel Site Problems: yeah, the focusing problem at times. This camera needs an indicator when the focus has been establish in auto mode.

A professional 'traditional' photographer friend of mine is astonished that I can take shots in seconds that would take 15 minutes for him to set up. In his words 'It's the future isn't it'. I love mine so much that when I dropped it, breaking of the extended lens, I waited 5 months for the parts to be sent from Japan to Bangkok where I live (service in Thailand!). I missed it like a limb! Problems: The jog dial is disobedient

Excellent camera for price. I bought mine new online and couldn't wait to get the package. This is my first digital camera purchase, although I have had the chance to use others. This is by far one of the most feature-packed cameras I have seen. The zoom is unbeatable. Here's something fun that I found out recently: you can use the electronic viewfinder as a cheap projector. The focal length is about 2 feet or so. It was funny when I was shooting in the dark. Problems: Batteries drain ...
