After all these years...this is still my workhorse.... I do my wifes Realty website and use VisualTour to create stitched Home Presentations... www.jbbartel.com.... with the Tokina 12-24 F4 lens I get the best sharp "almost distortion free" pics for viewing...and shoot indoors with the Nikon 600 flash.... I may have the product numbers a little goofed up, but these are what I recall that they are classified as......age does have it challenges Distortion is a big problem with any wide angle ...

decided to upgrade to this body after about two years of shooting with a d70. the d70 was a great camera. this one is way better. better sensor. faster. more convenient. a smidge smaller. the switch to sd cards was really appreciated.

Excellent. I think at this point in time, with the D90 on the market, this is a tough choice to avoid for the price. Everything I was looking for in an upgrade from my D70s. Key advantage for me is the size and weight, as i hike, travel and cycle often while carrying gear. It did cause a shift to SD media, but I was already using them in smaller cameras. I use it with the kit lens from the D70s (17-55mm), the 55-200 VR and a 50mm f1.8 (older Japan version). While I do not think the Nikon ...

I've had my D80 for about 4 months now and I love it. I'm still learning all the functions but it's a blast. I'm leaving the end of this week for a 14 day Alaska trip which will be the first adventure for me and my D80...I can't wait. This camera has great features for the money. I was torn between the D80, D200 and the D300. As a newcomer to DSLRs I didn't want something too complicated but I wanted something that I could grow into and eventually upgrade from so I decided on the D80 and ...

This is my second DSLR camera. I purchased D80 one month ago. I am happy with my D80 camera. Only crappy problem with my Sigma lense, but not camera body. Later I wish I have Nikkor lenses. Thanks.

I purchased the D80 bundle with 18-55mm and 55-200mm VR lens. I absolutely love the 55-200mm VR lens, but seriously thinking about getting rid of the 18-55mm lens. I'm currently waiting for the new Nikkor 16-85mm lens, but it will not be out for another few weeks. I have owned the camers for 2 months now and can say that I have made a great purchase. I have taken over 3000 pictures so far and the quality has been great. I recently purchase the SB-800 speedlight to compliment the camera ...

For big enlargements, I still rely on scanned 6x7 film for landscapes so my objective for getting a D80 was to merely replace my rarely-used film F3 and still be able to use some of the lenses. My expectations were exceeded. Overall, I’d recommend this camera. It produces excellent images at a reasonable price. Here are my main pros and cons: Pros 1) Generally very high image quality which is at least as good as, but more often better than, scanned images from a 35mm SLR film camera exposed ...
