Hi everyone, For me the D610 is missing two functions,1. AF-ON back focus button, this can be solved using the A-EL button, but personally I find my thumb clashes with my face as the button is in a poor position! 2. Is a viewfinder "curtain" like on the d700 and d800, I really enjoy long exposures so a curtain that stops light getting into the viewfinder would be fantastic!! :( I cant see any reason why nikon don't put these very low cost functions on all there cameras, Im sure they could...

I'm using a D700 and I'm looking at purchasing a Nikon AF-S 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5g ED VR lens.  But it doesn't have a fixed aperture and the other Nikon wide angle lenses do. Would spending over twice the money be worth having a non fixed aperture?

Hello guys, I have a big question which I am not really able to answer myself. I searched for it in a lot in Forums but all I found just didn´t helped me out. So I hope you guys could help me in my decision: In 2010 my dad bought an Nikon D300s for him and he asked me every hour why I don´t want to shoot some photos because it´s so great and I will love it, but as stupid as I was I just didn´t believed him but a year later I shoot my first photos and I felt in love with Photography. But...

Hi guys. I am experiencing the shutter problem with my nikon D700. Every photo I took were all way over exposed during the day light (even with P mode and no exposure compensation problem, no metering problem, no D-lighting problem ). And during the night I figured it out that my shutter won't go faster above the certain speed. Please see the example below with M mode, all I changed was shutter speed but the pictures are the same!!!! Plus when I hit my "lock mirror up for cleaning" function...

Hi, I've been shooting concerts for about a one and a half year now and have invested during that periode in better gear. Being on a tight budget I purchased a used D700 a year ago and a used D3 a few months ago. I also purchased Nikon brand 50mm f/1.4, 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 (VR model 1) lenses. I shoot with the two latter most of the time. Because of the challenging lighting conditions I shoot at high ISO (3200-6400) most of the time. Due to the high ISO setting some photos are...

I have noticed something strange, I'd like to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience. When I attach the MB-D10 on the D700, the meter stays on (on LCD and VF) even if the c2 setting is set to 6 sec. If the MB-D10 is turned off (w/ the shutter switch) the issue disappears. Note that there is no battery in the grip, only inside the body (also, all parts, battery, grip, and D700 :P are genuine Nikon products) --Check my website for reviews, tips & tutorials:Amateur Nikon
