Hello, I want to buy a 80-400mm mainly for landscape. I'm not intersting at all about electronique stuff like : AF speed, VR performance, silent AF... What what interested me most is sharpness, lens flare and image quality. i want to know if the newest af-s 80-400mm is superior or both lens are close thank you

I shoot concerts and most of them time get stuck at the soundpit, anything around 20-40m away from the stage. My current 80-200mm f/2.8D ED (NO VR) isn't providing much of a reach and was hoping I could use my sigma 150-500, but with a 5.6-6.3 aperture, that just seemed impossible. I don't want to write too much, but basically, I think getting a 400mm prime could be much lighter + better image quality solution. It's probably pretty close to being comparable to Canon's 400mm 5.6. Both the "Tony Northrup" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fmMG5jgDwk&list=PLwIVS3_dKVpsjSZrQ7H-Nw8GQ7ZuDYyaD tamron review ,...

Hi. Not finding anything in the DP forums so I'm wondering if anyone can direct me to a 1.4x teleconverter that will work with my Nikon lenses?  I have an AF-S 18-200mm f3.5/5.6G DX, a AF-VR 80-400mm f/4.5/5.6D ED and a AF-S 28-70mm f/2.8G N lenses. Mainly I am interested in adapting the 400 for bird and animal shots, probably some closeup stuff too. Nikon states their TC converters will not work since the elements mount to close. Kenko 300 Pro DGX units "seem" like they may work. What types...
