After two months and a lot of picturetaking I find this camera simply a most remarkable piece of equipment - the only thing I would recommend buying is the Thumbs-Up making it even more secure to hold. Problems: None so far

The image quality is amazing. A full frame rangefinder is clearly a technical challenge but worth it as it gets the best out of the absolutely fantastic range of Leica lenses. Some of the issues with the M8 have been addressed in this version, but irritatingly for the price some have not. Problems: Shutter still too noisy.

After using 2 month go back for Canon. This is joke, not for real world. Film cameras was much better. When compare images with 5D don't understand why it cost $7000 more. Problems: poor in hi-ISO, slow, bad sensor, heavy, expensive

Had the M9 for 3 weeks. Construction and image quality is superb! Leica lenses really shine with this sensor. This is the easiest, basic camera to use. Aim,frame, focus and shoot!. No crazy menus, no bells and whistles, just the basics. You really learn photography with this camera. Even fine Jpegs look great! Problems: A little high priced, but if you have Leica M lenses, this camera is a no brainer!

The camera is excellent! Unfortunately it is very expensive compared to other makes and models that offer more features for less. However, Range finder Photography is something else and once you get the hang of it, it becomes addictive. The settings and features are easy to use, but focusing takes some getting used to if you come from using and SLR. Do not take pictures and use the camera screen to evaluate quality as the camera display does not nearly give justice to the image. View images ...
