This is a very basic camera even for when it came out in 2000 when I bought it at full price. This was my very first camera and I loved it. Its still alive and kicking though replaced now by a Canon S50. Very simple to use, good protection for the lens, 1 hand use with easy-to-reach buttons, LCD had great refresh rate even though it didn't have a movie feature, solid build. Problems: Serious time between pushing the sutter to taking the picture. The problem esclated when using a larger CF ...

This was my first digital, only purchased because I'd just purchased an HP 750 printer, and could get a $100 rebate. At that point, I hadn’t even ever considered a digital camera. I figured for a point and shoot, it could be interesting. After the rebate, it cost me about $85, not bad. In fact, it was been a great point and shoot, knowing that's what its for. It was the potential I saw in digital photography that not only propelled me to invest in a much better digital, the Fujifilm S602, ...

This is a decent camera for the money. It is very easy to use, as long as you know the eccentricities. There are, however, a lot of problems I've encountered that make this camera less than ideal to use. Problems: Speaking of eccentricities, you need to get used to the time it takes between pressing the shutter button and when the actual picture is taken. A lot of people who have tried to take pictures with this camera have not been able to see the little green light next to the viewfinder ...

I have had this camera for over 2 years now. To date, I've taken over 1800 pictures with it. It definately needs a larger compact flash card. The 8 meg card that it came with as useless if you want high resolution. The pictures were ok. I bought it because it was the cheapest one on the market at the time. You most definately need a set of rechargeable batteries - NiMH so it lasts longer. I have a card reader so that saves on battery juice on the download especially because I have a ...

Great camera, I have had it for over 2 years. I was thinking about getting another one but really like this one and was wondering if anyone has tryed to use the camera mount and other lens. Like the telephone lens 30mm, or the 30mm super close up lens? Would like to know if they work well. Problems: Batteries have short life time, and sometimes the close up get blurry. But over all I like it!!!!! Great value for you money!!

Good camera for the money. You can copy your photos in true print photografic paper (chemical process) with no difference for a conventional photo. Very good. Otherwise... (read problems...) Problems: My camera becomes intermittent. It shuts off itself with no reason. To reset I should close and open the shutter again. The technical assistance says to buy another one paying the difference (have you heard something like this?). I should NOT buy another HP camera.

It's obviously not the type of camera to get if you want loads of features but it serves well for snapshots and everyday uses. It produces good quality images that are great for it's time.

Good, solid snapshot camera. Easy to use, good software, good manual...just not full featured. Have two 315's, no problems other than battery consumption when using the LCD screen. Would like the trigger on the shutter to be faster reacting. Can't really complain about the price, got both of my cameras on clearance at Target at less than half MSRP. Also got two HP825c printers effectively free with the cameras. SWEETdeal! I gloat...sorry. Problems: Problem: I would like to combine two images ...

I was suprised at the functionality and simplicity of the HP 315, photo quality is superb and the LCD is helpful at times. This being my first digital camera, I was very pleased. Problems: Eats up batteries like nothing, I highly recommend purchasing the adapter or rechargables.
