Hi, first post and new camera, a Fuji XE2. Loving the camera and image quality, but learning about best settings for various situations. Had a Canon G12 previously and no SLR since the old film days of the 80s/90s. I am having trouble understanding the best flash photography settings. I have an external flash - EF-20. I am using the 18 mm/F2 prime lens for inside flash photography. I have set up a custom setting in the camera, which has ISO set to Auto, with 800 ISO max and 1/60 minimum...

I recently sold my RX100 after 2 years and now wish to move on to something better, which can give me more bokeh shots with some character of every day life with my wife and 2 kids. A versatile option, one which I can use indoors, or on hikes or during holidays etc. Oh also, I am hoping I will be able to take selfie shots of family using my xshot extender with the XF 23mm (35mm equivalent) lens.   After researching for more than a week, I feel the Fuji XE2 body only with the 23mmF1.4R lens...

Let's say for example you have an adapted lens without aperture ring to use on an X-T1...(or X-E2)...do you have to shoot wide open or is there a way to "trick" the lens to change apertures? --Dwighttake a peek at the world I see athttp://www.flickr.com/photos/96816407@N07/http://picasaweb.google.com/dwightparker

Has anyone out there had experience in using X-E1/X-E2 for studio portrait photography. I have both X-E1 and X-E2, along with the 18-55mm, 27mm, 56mm, 50-230mm lenses. Could anyone give me a few tips regarding basic camera/lens settings for me to use as a starting point and progress from there. Thanks, limerigger

Hello Everybody, I have few simple query rather few stupid ones :-) Could anybody guide me which option to select in fujifilm X-E2 to focus on multiple subjects at the same time using Auto-Focus? I just received my 18-135 for use on my X-E2. I have read that the lens focuses silently and extremely quickly, but that has not been my experience. In particular, when I turn the camera on, there is a brief noise sounding like two metal pipes are rubbing. Then the same noise takes place when focusing, especially if the lens  searches , which does happen in low room light. My 18-55 makes no noise like this and is at least as fast focusing in low room light. I should add that the resolution is...

I just got a XE2+ Fuji M Adapter, but I have a problem with setting the aperture. I'm not able to change the aperture, it stay at F0. and the aperture setting option in menu is grayed out. I use the adapter with my Voigtlander Color Skopar 35mm F2.5. The photo come out ok, So I guess the exposure is correct. even the aperture stay at 0. is this normal to have aperture stay at 0?

I'm considering buying an x-m1 for its light weight and tiltable screen, but am anxious that RAW processing might be problematic.  I've had Silkypix a while ago, and didn't get on with it.  Does Lightroom handle the x-m1's raw files straightforwardly?  Another option I'm considering is the Sony a6000, which comes with easy to use RAW processing software that I'm already familiar with.  My other worry is that several reviews mention mushy greens, and suggest that Fuji x is not the best system...

Hi all, I'm a soon-to-be-father and am transitioning from my Olympus dSLR to a mirrorless system. The rangefinder style of the X-E2 is really appealing, and I'm wondering if folks can give their input on their ideal lens to use for photos of my new daughter. Based on research in this forum, I've narrowed down my lens selection to the 23, 35, and 18-55mm. I know each lens has pros/cons, and I'm interested if anyone can give a recommendation based on their personal experiences. I expect to be...

So, my 'real' photographic journey began with my trusty Canon EOS 550D. It was a workhorse of a DSLR that guided me through my early years as I was learning. Recently I upgraded to a 6D (which I'm absolutely loving), which is the real deal for landscapes and still object shots. Since my 550D is quite redundant now, I sold it off to get a 2nd camera, which will be a much smaller mirrorless, for street and (maybe) moving object photography. The only question is, which is the best for under (or...
