The XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS is Fujifilm’s 'kit' zoom for X-system cameras, but is a very different proposition to the F3.5-5.6 lenses often supplied with APS-C SLRs and ILCs. It’s faster, by a full stop at telephoto, which allows the use of faster shutter speeds or lower ISOs, and uses a Liner Motor focusing system for silent autofocus during movie recording. It has built-in image stabilisation, and a ring on the lens to control the aperture. Optically, the 18-55mm is impressive, making it a great 'carry around' lens for Fujifilm's growing range of X-series cameras.
