I'll be traveling to Colombia next month and not sure if I should bring my x100t along for the trip or not. I'm thinking I should maybe bring something smaller, a camera I could jam into my pocket if needed. Everyone knows the x100t is fairly small but I still carry it in a small bag most of the time and would like to travel as light as possible. Also one of my concerns are is safety as i'm not really sure how safe some of the areas are and would hate to be a target if carrying my x100t....
I am sorry to ask this question but I want to be sure before I buy a new monitor. The Fuji x30 is only sGRB but the RAW files have the full color gamut(aGRB) correct? I know this was once discussed in reference to the x20 but I can no longer find that thread. I seem to remember that the answer was that the RAW files did indeed encompass the full color gamut(aGRB). the x20, like the x30 has no provision for choosing aGRB, unlike the x10, where there was a choice. Obviously I am interested in...
Hi guys, from a newbie! I've just upgraded from a Panasonic TZ20 to a TZ70/ZS50. I need a light travel camera, an EVF and I thought I needed a long zoom. GPS/ touchscreen not necessary. I shoot a lot of cityscapes, buildings, architectural features/details, often high up on buildings (often in the bright sun of Italy, but also low-light church interiors, which the tz is not much good at) plants in macro, landscapes and the odd butterfly/bird! A bit of video, but far less than stills. However...
I'm looking for a strategy for minimizing noise in low light shots from my X20. What I do now is generally to shoot in Program (P), RAW, and ISO Auto 800. Please don't tell me to get a camera with a larger sensor. I know that's a solution, but what I want to find out is how to get rid of noise using this particular camera, which performs beautifully for me except in low light. Thank you. --Rodger Kingston
I currently have an X30 and previously had an X20, and I've had the same problem with both cameras: Every once in a while the battery/card door seems to open spontaneously. I'll glance down, and there's the door hanging open. I assume this means that I'm inadvertently brushing the locking tab (or whatever you call it) with a finger, but I really don't know. I've had to resort to taping the door shut with gaffer's tape, but that can be messy and inconvenient. So, two questions: - Has anyone...
Normally I don't bother other people with my camera issues, but I have had two X10s that developed the same problem after approximately one year of heavy use. The first one began to show what appeared to be two large hairs in the same place in every image at every zoom range. The images were more distinct as I stopped down the lens and would almost be unnoticeable at the widest aperture. Now the second x10 has started to exhibit the same phenomenon with some dark spots on each frame that...
I just purchased an Asus entry level laptop on Black Friday special that has pretty anemic specifications ... but the price was right. Windows 8.1 32-bit 2 gb memory 32 gb internal SSD (slow interface) 16 gb micro-sd card as D:\ drive Model number X205TA with 11.6" screen I want to be able to take it on "road trips" and hopefully be able to do very rudimentary post-processing with it. I hope to be able to download .cr2 files from my Canon DSLR, run DngConverter to get .dng's, and then...
