My Fuji X10 suddenly stopped taking pictures. On half pressing the shutter button I can see the auto focus engages, and everything else seems to be fine. But when it is fully pressed nothing - the image is not captured. The memory card is not full, battery is fine and the button itself doesn't feel stiff/sticky, not sure what else could be wrong. If anyone has any advise it would be helpful, thanks!
Hello, I am new posting a question here, but it has been only because all my questions have been always answered in this place :) Until now. I am a proud owner of a Fuji X10, I love this camera. The macro mode is awesome, the IQ and colors are amazing... I use this camera for macro, portraits and landscapes. I also have a Canon SX40 for animals, when I can not approach them (birds and some reptiles). The quality of the Canon is ok when the light is good and the aim of my pic can be focused...
Hi,I have just been given a Fujifilm X10 and have only every used point and shoot compacts before. What I´d like to know is what settings to use to capture running water making a silky/smokey effect. I did try...using shutter priority set at 1 second but there was way too much light. It shot it at f/9 with ISO of 100. If I try in manual settings with a slow shutter speed the f stop only goes to 9! I am a complete beginner so please help me in simple terms! Many thanks
Hi, I would like to photograph bees flying in front of beehives. My intention is to use super-macro mode and pre-lock the focus area to as close as possible(pre-focus) then press the shutter and wait for a bee get in focus - and the picture to be taken. Is this possible? If yes - please share how... :) Regards, Daniel
Skip to paragraph 3 to avoid the backstory... I currently own two Sony cameras, a DSC-P150 that I got about 10 years ago and a DSC-H7 that I got about 6 years ago. The P150 has been a tank and is still going strong, in spite of a broken battery door and a couple of artifacts on the sensor. I haven't ever been truly happy with the H7. It never has given me the quality or the control that I desired. Sony is great, but I hesitate to get another. I just don't like their quirks. I do not feel like...
Birthday's coming up and I'm thinking of taking my photography past $80 point & shoot levels. I've done a good deal of research but I still can't decide on what to get, or at least what would better suite my needs. My budget is pretty much $300, but if I absolutely (this is really my upper limit) must spend more, I can probably do $350. My main use of the camera will be macro photography (real macro and also regular close-ups), night-time/dawn/dusk/cloudy shots of the sky/streets/nature, and...
I recently upgraded from an s100fs when the a couple buttons broke on mine and the replacement I bought on amazon has an issue with freezing. Anyway, I generally used the auto settings, but with the x10 and it's EXR setting I've been trying to use more manual settings, especially with the hs50. I tried using the slower shutter speeds but whenever I try to do it, I just get a white screen. I used the firework setting on the 5th to take firework pictures and that setting worked great, but...
Hello A 1-month-old Fuji X10 froze up after I unplugged the USB from a friend's computer. I was trying to view my photos on his PC but his machine apparently doesn't have the right software, so while I could see the X10 thumbnails, I couldn't open them on the PC. I tried transferring the entire photo folder to the PC hard drive, the computer froze up, my friend got impatient and so I pulled the USB cable out. The camera then stayed frozen with the USB message on the camera view screen. I...
