Since X10/20/30 owners are re-directed from Fujifilm X System/SLR Talk to Fujifilm Finepix Talk, may I request also that the Filter by Product function for X10/20/30 be moved also to Finepix Talk?

About to become an owner of one of the bargain X10s being sold on eBay. Reviewing the various pros and cons, tips and tricks for that camera. One I'm trying to remember but can't find on the forum has to do with aspect ratio I think. Something about "stretching" a few pixels in landscape or something like that. Am I imagining things? Some old-timer remember what (if anything) that was about? Not really worried about it. At the price it would be hard to go wrong for a utility camera to keep in...

Normally I don't bother other people with my camera issues, but I have had two X10s that developed the same problem after approximately one year of heavy use. The first one began to show what appeared to be two large hairs in the same place in every image at every zoom range. The images were more distinct as I stopped down the lens and would almost be unnoticeable at the widest aperture. Now the second x10 has started to exhibit the same phenomenon with some dark spots on each frame that...

Hello! This Friday I'm giving a short presentation at a math meeting on some neat ways to combine the dual exposures of the X10 differently from other ways I've seen it done (Fuji's processing, Fuji-distributed SilkyPix, CaptureOne, most HDR programs...). Naturally, I wanted to mention how the X10 punches well above its class in DR. It isn't hard to find DR metrics on DPR for most DSLRs and mirrorless, so I have data in that regard, but the X10 and Canon PowerShot S100 seem to be the only...

May be this is an old question but at the moment I'm trying to make a choice. I have a Fuji X10 which delivers nice pics but it has some flaws which make that I don't want to take it with me on a biketour of 3000 kilometer along river Danube, next April en May. I have several options: Canon G16, okay, but deal breaker is its completely useless OVF; I really hate taking pictures from LCD. That means I absolutely want a compact camera with EVF. On the bike a dSLR isn't very convenient, fot...

Hello I bought a Fuji X10 from a reputable-looking supplier on Amazon this June. The battery only seemed to last for about 2 minutes, so after a few months I bought a new battery - this worked fine for a few days, and then it too went pear-shaped and now the camera won't even turn on. When I went back to the old battery the camera is still almost totally unresponsive; when I twist the lens to turn the power on, I just get a dim blue screen that stays on even when I twist to power off - I have...

My Fuji X10 suddenly stopped taking pictures. On half pressing the shutter button I can see the auto focus engages, and everything else seems to be fine. But when it is fully pressed nothing - the image is not captured. The memory card is not full, battery is fine and the button itself doesn't feel stiff/sticky, not sure what else could be wrong. If anyone has any advise it would be helpful, thanks!

Hello, I am new posting a question here, but it has been only because all my questions have been always answered in this place :) Until now. I am a proud owner of a Fuji X10, I love this camera. The macro mode is awesome, the IQ and colors are amazing... I use this camera for macro, portraits and landscapes. I also have a Canon SX40 for animals, when I can not approach them (birds and some reptiles). The quality of the Canon is ok when the light is good and the aim of my pic can be focused...

Hi,I have just been given a Fujifilm X10 and have only every used point and shoot compacts before. What I´d like to know is what settings to use to capture running water making a silky/smokey effect. I did try...using shutter priority set at 1 second but there was way too much light. It shot it at f/9 with ISO of 100. If I try in manual settings with a slow shutter speed the f stop only goes to 9! I am a complete beginner so please help me in simple terms! Many thanks

Hi, I would like to photograph bees flying in front of beehives. My intention is to use super-macro mode and pre-lock the focus area to as close as possible(pre-focus) then press the shutter and wait for a bee get in focus - and the picture to be taken. Is this possible? If yes - please share how... :) Regards, Daniel
