Hi ! I'm having trouble with my new x20. After a week of ownership, the viewfinder became really dusty (behind the front glass). The sealing of this part seems problematic. I went back to the store, where they proceeded to an exchange. Now, after 24 hours I have it, there is already a bit of dust in it. I know I'm not doing wrong, the lens and back of the viewfinder are crystal clear. i love this camera, and don't want to give up and buy another model. What is your experience ? Regards, flo

I've been looking around for an alternative to my DSLR that I can carry around everywhere with ease, and I've narrowed it down to the X10 and the E-PM2. Now, I know these are very different cameras, with the E-PM2 having a larger sensor, along with the possibility of interchangeable lenses. However, due to budget I would only be using the kit lens that comes with the E-PM2. The X10 appears to be better constructed though, with the E-PM2 looking plasticy and marketed towards soccer moms. With...

Here's a series of exposures taken with the X10. ISO 100, DR 400, +/-1 AE bracket. These are not SOOC; they're the exposures, extracted from RAW using dcraw (-s all, -6, -T, -w and then combined for the sake of discussion). This has been shrunk down and is provided only for the sake of discussion. Here's how Fuji renders the first pair of images: ROAR. Pretty bad job on the sky there, even though the shorter exposure has nailed it down prertty well. Even the JPG produced from the -1 blows the...

I have at last come to the conclusion that after months of hankering after the D7000 and being really pleased with the results, the size and bulk of the thing have taken their toll. After reading amazing reviews of the X100 and X10 and 20 i think this is the direction i will go now,I'm selling the Nikon gear and hopefully will have around £650- 700 to spend.I love the idea of the x100 but ultimately think i would miss the zoom at some point but it does seem the iq is incredible ,which for me...

I am a looking for input regarding the purchase of a second hand compact. Level of use will be occasional photography until I find my bearings, at this point I don't think it's wise to fork out for a new camera that I may end up not using that much. Basically I'm looking for maximum bang for buck. All these cameras seem to be going for roughly the same price on Ebay. I really like the look of the retro cameras and I do believe the right camera can inspire someone to get out there and enjoy...

Hello I've just bought the X-S1 and am looking for a good flashgun with bounce/tilt/zoom functionality.(I already have the EF20 which I use on my X10, so know how well that model works with the smaller body). Any thoughts/suggestions for something with better specs than the EF20? Many thanks Simon T

Today I received my X-S1 from Amazon - lightning deal at £249.  Checked it over and it exhibits none of the lens creep I've heard about - first photo's look a lot like my X10, just a tad softer perhaps. To be expected considering lens range! Build quality and evf are superb, and I'll post my views in a little more detail when I've taken a few hundred photos. In the meantime I'd appreciate any advice from forum members regarding how to get the best out it for taking video (not something I've...

My sensor shows no signs of dust or scratches and looks clean but seem to be having focus problems.  When I focus using live view at X10 I can get a very clean looking picture on the LCD screen but when I look at the shot taken it seems to be a little blurry, definitely not as clear as the live view on the screen. Would the sensor cause this blurring?  If it is the sensor would using a wet cleaning help with the focus? Would appreciate any help.  Thanks
