Looking to get an entry level camera ($300-$400) and have been reading about "true resolution"- size of the sensor/pixel density... Example: FinePix SL1000 16mp = 9.7 mp Panasonic Lumix FZ70 16mp = 9.7mp Canon Rebel T3 12.2mp = 12.2mp Is this true? Would the T3 take better quality pics? I would be using a tripod and have all the editing software (PS, Perfect Effects, etc) Any suggestions would be apprectiated.
I want to upgrade from my Panasonic TZ5 to a super zoom bridge camera. So, here is the history and process of my ability and research into the many choices of camera to consider: I have a lot to learn before I can make use of the manual controls on any camera. At first, I will shoot in auto mode. I do, however, want a camera that offers full manual control so I can slowly learn that process. I have been looking at the Panasonic FZ200, which seems to be the best of the super zooms according to...
I bought this camera to take photos of wildlife and birds at a distance. The 50x zoom lens is useless for long distance. When I try to zoom into a bird whether is moving or still, the image of the subject comes back blurry and image noise is visible at high ISO. When you try to focus into subject, it just does a horrible job. I tried with a tripod, I also used sport mode and shutter priority for moving subjects and get the same blurry terrible images. Very disappointed with this...
hi, I am new to this forum and photography as a whole really, so bear with me. :-) I recently bought a Fujifilm finepix sl1000 and i am slowly getting to know how to use it to its full potential. The only thing i can't work out is how to take photographs of water and water falls with a silky effect. Is this camera capable of taking such shots??? I have tried adjusting the shutter speed and lowering the aperture but the photo doesn't come out well... rubbish in fact! If this camera can take...
I have loved my FZ100 but I am ready to buy again. What I like about my Fz100 is the ability to video (slow mo, high def and reg), screw on 52mm filters (have several) and macro lenses and I already have a remote trigger. I also require a viewfinder, hot shoe and really like the fully articulated LCD. I limit the ISO to 400 and have been very pleased with the quality of photo and video. In fact 2 of my photos won in 2 competitions :) I wish it had a larger sensor. I think the weight is fine...
Hi, I am a camera enthusiast & own, at present, HS10 and want to buy "all in one, superzoom bridge camera" like HS50EXR or SL1000 or CanonSX50HS but cant decide which one to buy,( I normally depend on the DP Review & specs of the camera) Need an experts view / suggestions / advice on which one to buy. Previously, I have owned "Yashica FX3", "Minolta XD-11", "Nikon N-60" & then "Minolta DIMAGE1" & then "HS10" Looking forward to some valuable suggestions on this please. Thnx.
