Hi, I've just gotten an F850 to replace a Lumix zs20.  I've had Fuji compact cameras before and love the warmer, more natural colors and their previous stellar ability to capture shots in low light.  They seemed to have strayed from that focus but I'm hoping that they're back on track here.    So far, I'm enjoying this camera on still subjects in all kinds of lighting.  Chasing kids and pets, however, not so much.  The zoom feel sluggish compared to the Lumix, and the video takes longer to...

First of all, thanks for looking :) I've seen hot pixels and dirty sensors, but never anything like this. Here are two test shots (200% crops), taken with a F800EXR in P-mode (Size M, DR400, Auto ISO) only a few seconds apart. The first one's darker and clean (1/90, ISO100), the second one's a tad brighter (1/60, ISO125) and has lots of dark pixels in the blue area: ... and here's the EXIF to both crops: These black spots keep creeping in at random pixel locations on this cam, even at...

hello there, I am the proud owner of a Fuji F100fd. Irecently upgraded it with an Olympus Omd em5, this mainly because i need to make lots of photos in low light conditions (ex gigs...) in which my compact fuji was not enough. By contrast...and yes u can call me a foul..I like much better my daylight photos with my F100fd than with my over hyped Olympus. I was (am) also used to take photos with the Chrome colour setting in my f100fd. That was a lighly more saturated level than standard. A...

Aloha, I've been wanting a replacement for my aging F100fd for way too long. I'd like another similarly sized p&s camera, and having always loved Fuji color, I'd prefer sticking with the brand. I'm primarily a jpeg shooter in this context, so "relatively poor" raw performance isn't much of an issue. So, briefly (please), which of the following three models offers an appreciable edge, if any? F900EXR, F850EXR, F800EXR  (Knowing Fuji, earlier models are sometimes superior to their "upgrades" -...

I just bought a PCMCIA card with SD/SDHC card reader for my  hand-me-down Dell laptop. It is fast! Might be the best $15 I have ever spent. Makes it easy to download camera images anytime. So how would the WiFi on these newfangled cameras improve my life? What is the mechanism for recognizing a wireless network?

The Fujifilm FinPix F30 I bought in 2006 failed to auto focus while I was on a trip. I emailed Fujifilm and was told to send it to their Camera Repair Department in NJ to be tested. I called Hong Kong's Fujifilm technical support they told me replacement parts for Fujifilm Finepix F30 had been discontinued. So I wonder why Fujifilm told me to send the camera to NJ.I brought the camera to the store I bought it from to be looked at. The salesperson recommended me to buy the FinePix F800EXR...
