This camera is more than what I can expect for $270 which I paid in gray market. It has a professional camera look and feel (also features). I can customize many things like LCD brightness, volume control/sound, zoom memory on/off, power save on/off and wait time, etc. (Maybe, this is there in all cameras) Movie is very clear with clear sound (640 line resol.) I can take movie even at 10x zoom! Focusing is instant. Zooming is fast and silent. This camera can discharge the battery for us ...

I have only had this camera for about 6 days now, but for the 6 days I have shot over 500 pics. I lkie this camera a great deal. Its easy to use, bar the raw issue and the fact that the self timer didnt have its own button. These would have been nice and would have meritted a 5 star rating. I gave the image quality rating a 4.5 because the images seem to lack some sharpness. I expected the iages to be a little sharper, but found them to look a bit fuzzy looking under scrutiny. I also found ...

The S5100 has thoroughly impressed me, especially coming from a 2MP Ricoh RDC-5300 digicam. FEATURES: This camera has tons of features for the price, which made this decision easy, such as 10X zoom, AF assist lamp, continuous AF, SLR-like controls, tons of shooting and burst modes, RAW mode, rugged SLR styling, uses 4AA batteries instead of proprietary types, excellent 640x480 30fps movie mode (unlimited) with sound, battery discharge function, decent 3.5 second start-up speed and fast ...

After lot of survey, I finally bought S5500. It's loaded with all the features that put it close to a Digital SLR. You will never feel any less. The 4MP doesnt bother at all. The pictures are great. The controls and buttons are very well positioned in the camera. This fact pushed me away from popular choices like Canon Powershot A95. You can easily operate 5500 in one hand. Moreover, it is very light and has a great grip in your fingers. Last but not the least is the value for money. Problems: ...

This camera is light enough to carry around without it being a burdon and has a great grip. The 10x zoom can be held steady handheld quite well, even when there's a slight overcast. Anyone interested in this camera should visit the Fuji forum on this website and search for references. A lot of statisfied owners and pictures can be found in that place.

This is my third digital. The last was a P&S P32 Sony. I am very happy with my new S5100. Would buy it again. Looks really PRO although it´s also a P&S. The 10x optical zoom got me. Takes amazing shots. I like low light indoor photographing, and the S5100 does it very well for my family purposes. Does it good with and without flash. It´s a pure joy. Problems: I would never say the points below are problems, just wishes. - I wish the LCD display would show the changes in image while I make ...

This is a great camera for the money and takes excellent pictures, You have to read the manual and learn what it can do and then use it. The 10X lens is wonderful, I have taken many pictures at full zoom and had no problems with blurr. Battery life is incredable......seem to last forever:) It is everything I wanted in a camera and maybe more. Problems: No problems so far, Like I said read the manual and learn how to use it.

Fujifilm S5500 Review (aka S5100) This camera is ok but it was not as impressive as I thought it would be… It’s fast, that’s the main thing I like about this one. Continues shooting works very well. The 10x Zoom is another fine feature. No problems with switching lenses, the 10x goes fast and far. The supplied lens-cap is another good idea, witch other suppliers dare to forget. Batteries supplied last long, but if you plan to use the camera often a charger is recommended. The camera misses ...

Turned my Canon A85 back into the store and came away with the FinePix S5100. Cost me a little more but after the Canon I was ok with a little lighter pockets. Ok enough about past mistakes. This camera has the look and feel of my past 35mm SLRs FXD & FX3. Its well built and feels solid in my larger hands. I realy like the 10x zoom and the lens seams to work well. It has more then enough features and manual settings for me and the photos I take. Gone is the shutter lag of the Canon A85. ...
